Chapter 2: The Arrival
Chapter 2
After the long car ride, they reached Hogwarts. Everyone was in the Great Hall for Halloween. As soon as they walked in, everyone’s hearts stopped. Instead of regular school talk, the whole hall went silent. Everyone turned to look at each other, whispering. Harry stood up in front of Ron and Hermione. He stood there with a slight grin. Suddenly, the whole school stood up from their seats and started singing a song. It was a song about him, Ron, and Hermione, coming together to defeat Voldemort. It went like this.
“OOOO we cherish him. We sing in their names. For they defeated the Dark Wizard. Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. They have led through the dark to find light. For Ron he is dumb but he is our King.”
Ron looked offended.
“Hermione is the smartest witch alive today.” They sang.
Hermione’s heart sank.
“Alive today?” She repeated.
“And Harry Potter. The Boy who Lived. He’s our Chosen One. He’s our saviour. In their names we sing for they defeated the Dark Wizard.” They finished and sat back down. Ron walked to Professor McGonagall. “Professor. Is it ready?” He asked. She nodded. “Tonight.” She said, “Ron, what's ready?” Hermione said. “Nothing,” He said on the spot. He kissed her on the cheek. Hermione walked up the stairs and out of sight. Hermione went up to the common room to study for her classes she will be “teaching”. Ron and Harry rushed outside to the grounds. “Okay, where are we having it?” Harry asked as soon as they reached the Quidditch Pitch. “ I don’t know for sure.” Ron answered. Harry’s face dropped. “It’s been forever since we played here.” Harry said. “Not long. Only two years.” Ron said. “Why are you so much smarter than me?” Harry said, smirking “I don't know either.” Ron said. The two broke into laughs. “How about Hagrid’s?” Harry asked. Ron agreed. The two ran to the Hut. They saw how all of his pumpkins were ripe and bright orange. There were many flowers and pumpkins all over the ground. “There.” Ron said firmly, pointing to a flower bed. The bed was filled with Violets. “It’s her favourite colour, Violet.” Ron said smiling. “You know your girlfriend better than I know my best friend!” Harry said, patting Ron on the back. “I know Hermione more than you know me, mate?” Ron asked, confused. Harry shook his head. “You know Hermione more than I do.” Harry said with a sigh. Harry looked at the Violets. Perfect he thought.
