Chapter 12: Going Home
Chapter 12
Hermione glanced at her classic ring. “It’s beautiful,” She said to Ron. “Just like you,” He added with a smile. Hermione kissed him, and went to hug more people. Ron smiled, and walked over to Harry. “Harry, I think that the girls have it easy with this stuff,” Harry nodded. “They’ve been practising apparently,” Ron and Harry rolled with laughter. Ginny walked over to them. “I suppose now that you got yourself a wife, you will let me and Harry go out again?” She asked Ron. Ron smiled. “You have my permission, and Ginny, I can’t believe you scoffed into letting me tell you what to do,” Ginny went red. “I never told you to boss me around!” She said angrily. “I only listened to you because I knew if I didn’t —,” She looked at Harry for a second. “You know why, you wouldn’t let us,” She said, a little more bitterly. Ron rolled his eyes. “You’d think I’d end it? You are an arse!” Ginny looked affronted. “You better watch your mouth!” She leapt for her wand, and Ron got his. Harry got his out faster, knowing this would come up. “Protego!” He said. An invisible shield spread in between Ron and Ginny. Ron and Ginny didn’t know this, and came to attack. Ginny held up her wand and shouted, “Volatilis Lutum!” Harry looked at the centre of them. Harry almost regretted doing this. The spell rebounded against the shield, and hit Ginny. Harry took his wand and quickly raised it, “Prior Incantatio,”. Harry hoped the spell would work. Ginny’s Bat-Bogey Hex disappeared. Ron lowered his wand. Hermione came and grabbed Ginny. “C’mon, we need you in class,” Hermione looked sad to let Ginny go back to class. “Hermione, No.” She said firmly, and sat back down with Ron and Harry. Hermione smiled, and sat down next to Ron. “Now, Harry you just have to propose to Ginny,” Hermione said, grabbing some firewhiskey that was set out on a table beside them. Harry went red. Ginny looked as though this would come up. Harry looked at Ginny for help, but she looked back at him as though he was going to ask soon. “Who says that will come up?” Harry asked, sticking his hand out for some firewhiskey. Hermione poured him a cup. She gave Ron and Ginny a glass as well, then treated herself to butterbeer. “Harry, you are though aren’t you?” Ginny asked nervously. Harry had never thought of engaging with Ginny. He loved her very much, but didn’t plan to get engaged to her. “I — er — dunno,” He said, taking another drink of firewhiskey, in hope that this subject would soon end. Ginny looked sad. “Really?” She asked seriously. Harry nodded, wishing he hadn’t. Ginny nodded bitterly. She grabbed the bottle of butterbeer, and refilled her cup. Harry drank more of his firewhiskey, then set his cup down. “So, do you reckon the dementors were there to delay our visit?” Hermione asked, off of Harry’s raised eyebrows, and she took it as a change of subject. Harry grinned a little, then decided to answer. “Yeah — do you think they thought…..No,” He said, shaking his head. Hermione raised her eyebrows. “What?” She asked. “Thought we’d — bring him back?” Harry said. Hermione shook her head laughing. “Impossible,” Harry glanced at her. “Dementors aren’t that smart are they? They probably think we can conjure up a — I dunno, a reliving spell.” Ginny looked scared. “They thought we would bring Sirius alive again? So they can replan their Kiss.” Ginny covered her tears with her sleeve. Harry gave her a side hug. “It’s okay, If I was the Minister of Magic—,” He said, continuing to squeeze her. “The dementors wouldn’t be around anywhere outside of Azkaban.” He said. Ginny looked up to him. “Except you’re not,” She said. “Kingsley is.” She started crying harder than ever. “Kingsley is amazing though,” Ron said. Hermione elbowed him in the ribs. “I suppose I should say good-bye to mum and dad,” Hermione said, standing up and walking over to her parents. Ron stood up as well. “I’ll help my family back,” Harry nodded, then looked at Ginny. “You gonna go help?” Ginny shook her head. “Rather be with you. Walk around the pitch?” She asked, she stood up, and held her hand out. Harry took it, and stood up. She led them through the Quidditch Pitch. Harry held her hand, and walked along the side lines. Harry had thought to himself about them wanting him to engage. Harry would do it soon. The End.
