The Battle of Hogwarts

Chapter 6

When Harry Potter went back to Hogwarts toward the end of what would be his seventh year to find the Horcrux Voldemort had hidden there, Voldemort was trying to find all the Horcruxes. He knew where Harry was and initiated the Battle of Hogwarts, but instead of giving Harry up, the students and teachers kept fighting to protect him, but to stop the fighting, Harry went to give himself up. The Killing Curse didn't work, but it did destroy the Horcrux inside of Harry. Towards the end, Neville Longbottom (Now Herbology Professor at Hogwarts) destroyed the last Horcrux and Voldemort's disingrated into nothing.

A tribute to all who lost their lives in the Battle of Hogwarts:
Remus Lupin (Past Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and member of the Order of the Pheonix.)

Nymphadora Tonks (Auror and member of the Order of the Pheonix.)

Fred Weasley (co-owner of a joke shop and older brother of Ginerva Weaslet [Quidditch Player] and Ron Weasley [Auror]

Severus Snape (Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. Double-agent against Voldemort.)

Colin Creevey (Underage student who snuck in the battle to defend Harry)

Lavender Brown (Student, bitten by werewolf and fell from a great height. Death is unconfirmed yet many believe her to be dead.)

And at least fifty others who heroically lost their lives in their fight to protect Harry Potter and defeat Voldemort.
