Chapter 3
It felt like a dream as he took my hand and leads me through a huge hole, revealing a hollow tree. There was millions of rooms, but nobody else in the house. "This is your room," he said as he lead me into a room painted green, my favorite color. There was a queen-sized bed on the side, and on the walls were pictures of me when I was little, almost like a timeline of my life. "How did you get all of these pictures of me?" I asked, not curious so much as wanting something to say. I might have just been imagining it, but I felt like this house had an unusual affect on me, making everything feel like a dream. He didn't answer my question, but instead reached up and touched my lips. A thin streak of glimmering gray came out of his finger and into me.
How did I get here? I asked myself as I suddenly noticed just how handsome this boy really was. I brushed the silly question aside and gazed into his blue eyes. He blinked and said, "I must go. My sister will entertain you and show you around." And with that he left. No, rather transformed into a younger girl, about my size. "Where did he go?" I asked, mildly curious. "Oh, he will be back soon enough," she replied, and reached out to take my hand. When she touched me, I had the sudden feeling that I had to get out. I temporarily remembered my mom, my dad and brother, that I am supposed to be in Egypt, but then it all goes away.
"Do you love that boy? Do you love my brother?" She asks me when I am out of that sudden an strange trance. The question hits me like a bullet. I know I shouldn't, that l only met him today, but the true answer slips out before I can stop it, "Yes." And then she leaves, and a moment later he comes back. "I love you," he whispers, and then my world turns upside-down.
