When I turned 11, I got my Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry acceptance letter. I was so excited. I'm a half-blood you see. My dads a muggle. My mums a witch. My dad knew that my mum was a witch since I was born. He was so shocked but he eventually took it all in while raising me. So when I got my letter we went down to Diagon Alley and mum was telling me all about the time she was 11 and getting all her supplies. 

We went down to Ollivander's wand shop and we walked inside. There were boxes everywhere. Stacked high up into the ceiling out of sight and everything. I was so excited that I was going to get a wand. Ollivander came up to me and he started talking to me asking my name and if I was excited to be going to Hogwarts and getting a wand. He left and went to go get some boxes. I assumed they were full of wands and I assumed right. He gave me the first wand and he told me to give it a flick. 

I did and some of the boxes on the shelf jumped out of their places and were on the floor. He took the wand off me and went to get another wand. The wand he gave me didn't work either. We i gave it a flick a glass orb smashed to the ground. He then took that wand off me and went to get another one. When he came back he gave me the wand. 

For around 10 seconds I felt I was the only one in the store because a whole lot of light swarm around me while I was holding the wand. Ollivander said that, that was the wand for me. He told me that it was 10 and 3/4 long, it wasn't flexible, the wood was ash and had a dragon heartstring core. I was so excited. I said thank you to Ollivander and went out of the shop to get everything else I needed to go to Hogwarts.
