The highlights of lesson one of Potions is included but not limited to:

-Proper attire when brewing potions- No dangling jewelry or large apparel; the less skin exposed is best.

-Potions must not be taken by non-magical creatures ie; muggles. Professor explained this similarly to lactose intolerance, for since muggles lack exposure, they also lack tolerance, for magical substances.
