Young, And Stupid

Chapter 2

He closes the book angrily, a cloud of dust surrounding his head. He coughed but still the scowl was stuck on his face, he couldn't believe he had willing subjected himself to his personal hell. He shoved the old diary back where he found it, the bottom of his chest in front of his bed. He locked it, tight, with spells and locks to make sure that he wouldn't be tempted to open it again for a very long time. It brought back suppressed memories, that he kept locked up in the back of his mind for a reason, a good one. He had been happy, that was for sure; he thought his dreams were coming true but in reality they were being crushed. He lay down on his bed, mind swirling with ideas and plans but there among the mess of thoughts was an image of the person he didn't want to see. Her face was glowing, her light brown hair was around her shoulders framing the last smile he ever got from her. Her mouth wide with a smile,  robes billowing around her like a cloud of blue and black.

Oh Rita he thought sadly, his oldest sister had graduated Hogwarts 2 years previous, as a proud, smart Ravenclaw. This caused him to go on the train of thoughts of his other siblings. His younger brothers, Liam and Niall were first years that year of 1968 and had been accurately sorted into Hufflepuff. With their outgoing, kind natures it was the perfect fit for the joyous twins. Lastly was the youngest child Morgan who was going to be sorted this year. He loved his siblings, they would always have a special place in his heart but sadly it seemed he didn't have a place in theirs. On that terrible Wednesday back in 1964 once the sorting hat shouted SLITHERIN!! he saw it happen. He looked directly at his sister and he saw her face fall, saw the disappointment on the face of the person he trusted most. He got the letters; the harsh, mean words from relatives he hadn't seen in years, people he hardly knew calling him a disgrace. He thought his family would be different, that even though someone in their family hasn't been sorted into Slytherin for generations, they would still love and accept him. He was wrong. The one letter telling him that he couldn't go back home over the breaks or at all, thats when he broke. He cried in his new green and silver bed and he wept for the family he could never have again.
