The Wish Of Luck
Chapter 3
The green leaves turned orange, and leaf piles were everywhere. It was an August morning, and winter was going to be approaching soon. The breeze was a little chilly; children now had to wear jackets. Once again, Terry, Hetra, Lille, and Energie were in the same house. They were preparing to leave, but they were not packing. Instead, they were planning how to get to Diagon Alley. It must've been a mysterious place, and, when Lille looked it up on the internet on her computer, it wasn't there. To be completely honest, they didn't have parents. Instead, they lived with other families. Their parents passed away of a big war that happened a long time ago, so they didn't have to worry about leaving their families. The four kids were treated like dogs.
"All right, let's just wait!" suggested Terry. "Something might come to us and-!"
"NO NO NO!" interrupted Energie. "Let's wonder around this place!"
"But the train ticket said The King's Cross Station is from London." pointed Hetra. "We can't get there, because we're in Australia right now. And we don't have any money." she added when nobody spoke.
"BUT, school term begins on September 1st, and if we don't get there soon, we're not gonna go to school!" said Lille.
The kids were in a HUGE argument, debating on the different methods and solutions they should use. After a long time of using loud voices, the four kids were about to leave the tent when Terry, the problem solver, said something that scared and fascinated them all.
"Let's just make a wish. It might come true." he began.
"What to you mean, make a wish?" asked Lillie.
"Look, let me explain. You first, Lillie."
Lillie took a step toward Terry, and the other kids stopped to listen.
"Lillie, you were the one that climbed up that mountain, and you wanted to climb up to the top. In your mind, you wished that you would land somewhere safe. You didn't know what to do, so you let go, and...well, you know." Terry couldn't say anything anymore; he was lost in his own thoughts and his throat was dry.
"Yeah, I know what you mean, but are you sure that wishing to go to Diagon Alley is going to work? Do you think it's going to work again?" asked Lillie.
"I'm very positive, Lillie."
They looked into each other's eyes and sensed a type of strong spirit in between them. "Same thing for the rest of you." he said to Hetra and Energie. "And me." he muttered to himself. Hetra and Energie looked at each other in surprise, and sensed a type of strong spirit in between them, too.
"Come on, let's make a wish, together, at the same time." said Terry.
The others looked at each other in bewilderment, and, altogether, they said,
"I wish that we could go to Diagon Alley, please!"
"HOLD ON TIGHT!" yelled Terry. All four of the kids held hands in a circle. A huge wind just started out of nowhere. They got lifted off of the ground. It felt like flying; well, for a few seconds, anyway. Moments later, they landed in London on a random street, still holding hands.
"Wow, that was amazing!" said Energie.
"Ok, I can't believe that happened, but let's get help before people kidnap us around here." suggested Terry right away.
"What if we want to get back, though?" asked Lillie.
"Then we, you know, make a wish, like we just did seconds ago." replied Hetra.
"All right, let's go!" shouted Lillie. The four of them clapped hands with encouragement, and set off to find somebody - or something - that knows how to get them to Diagon Alley and Platform 9 3/4.
