The Red messengers reached queen Tilia the Green in a day, they each rode the fastest gnorses the Red army could provide. After being granted access to the throne room the messengers were met by the queen.

"State your business," said the queen.

"My lady," said one of the Red troops. "King Nackotil and high general Liledoff request the assistance of your majesty's troops."

"Old Nackotil requested my assistance, I find that hard to believe, your king is too proud to get help. So I will assume the high general sent you, he has never done everything the king wants."

"So, will you help us?" a messenger asked.

"Yes, on one condition," said Tilia. "When the Blues have fallen, the Green takes the section of Blue territory closest to Green land."

"Of course, your majesty," said a messenger.

This was the founding of the Broken Treaty as it would come to be called.
