The Red Army
Chapter 5
High general Liledoff's army was organized like this: It was split up into five regiments each of twenty squads and each squad had ten soldiers. This was the main bulk of his army, for 1000 soldiers is very formidable to gnomes, but he had two other regiments called the Cloak and the Dagger. The Cloak regiment were spies and scouts that Liledoff used to gain information on the enemy which he later used to destroy them. The Dagger regiment were the most skilled of the Red's fighters, they were called upon during large battles or to break sieges for they had special methods.
Cloaks were bred, trained from a very young age to be the stealthiest they could be. Daggers were hand picked, if a soldier in his majesty's army showed particular skill he was sent the Dagger generals to train. If the initiate failed to become a Dagger they were either paid or killed so that no one would learn the secrets of the king's prized warriors.
