High general Liledoff of the Red was the most fearsome and cunning commander in Red history. Liledoff had started like any soldier as a common footman. His battle prowess in the War of the Sea, (a battle fought against Gnermaids) had quickly pushed him to the rank of admiral and then during the War of the Black, ( a war against a bandit nation) he was promoted to high general. Liledoff had his own plans besides becoming a decorated war hero, the general wanted the crown. And he had a plan to get it. A high general is fifth in line for the throne, after the queen, prince, the princess and any remaining parents. There was no queen, she had died of a terrible plague two years before the war, and no princess, after the death of Nocktow there was only one prince, Nocktin, and both the king and the queen's parents were dead. So effectively Liledoff was second in line. Liledoff knew how to kill the king and get the prince out of the way in one move and soon he would be king. This he knew.
