Legend has her need to escape Macha, the owl witch, who turns the deenashee to stone by taking there feelings and trapping them in ancient shells, in which can only break with the selkies song. The selkie's song will send the fae back to Tír na nÕg... The ancient language of the sea, in which this selkie will sing: Novra doe kun, Novra doe fre (between the here, between the now...)

The Beginning
Chapter 1
Rieana, still just a baby, was being cradled by her mother's loving arms. They were on a rock, the waves splashing fiercely against it. The mother's long, black hair was blowing, and her black eyes twinkling. The child's own black eyes were staring up at her, listening intently. Their pale skin was nearly the color of the moonlight. The mother's song was like an angel's choir, and at the same time, like twinkling stars. She sang softly, "Novra, doe kun, Novra doe fre... Novra, doe morse, Novra, doe, yaihn. Novra, doe wess, Novra doe en... Novra, doe shun, Novra, doe, hame... Frozh doe am, doe worsh, hu, doe cee..." Another large waves crashed against the rock. "Go sai..." The mother kissed the child's head, then raised her own. She closed her eyes and let the wind blow at her. Then, there was a splash, and for some reason, the two were gone... Some reason...
