Introduction To The Dragon'S Scales

Chapter 1

For those who neglected to read the description of the Dragon's Scales Newspaper, please read the following:

From the point of view of Anastasia Kobra, there aren't many newspapers in the Library, so this is basically a recap of all that's been happening in Hogwarts. Every Sunday at 9:00 pm (Moutain Time), the Dragon's Scales Newspaper releases a new chapter. It will be labeled something like this: May 5th-12th. This will stand for the week that the paper is based on, which will be previous week (Considering the week starts on Sundays).

The Dragon's Scales Newspaper will feature Hogwarts events, the latest gossip, sometimes notes directed to houses or groups, and advertisements. Articles that are written in the Dragon's Scales Newspaper are read through by both, the writer and the editor, to make sure that nothing is offensive, humiliating, or simply discouraging to any students, staff, houses, or clubs.

All advertisements are also analyzed by the writer and the editor.

Students and staff who want their ad or piece of work to be published on the Dragon's Scales Newspaper can send an owl to Anastasia Kobra (Gryffindor House, First Year).

The owl should include the following compontents:

  • A picture (Optional)
  • The article/advertisement
  • Appropriate content (Not offensive, humiliating, or discouraging to any students, staff, houses, or clubs)
  • Credits (Names, organizations)
  • A reason for publicity
Note: Your advertisement/article may not be published to the newspaper if it does not include the components above.

Advertisements can be about club meetings, they can be about new books, they can be about events happening in a house, etc. They CANNOT, however, advertise websites or innappropriate content.

As mentioned earlier, a new paper is posted every Sunday, so if your article/ad doesn't get published that week, you can try again for the next week (assuming it is edited).
