All though at first thought the Lakir seems nothing but dangerous, it,like almost all other magical creatures, has its weaknesses. The Lakir can only see on color, and that color is green. The way it was caught for the triwizard tournament was by having many magical spells sent down the lake alive in flashes of green. The Lakir also sort of has what we might call an addiction to bright green, as it is one of the only colors that the Lakir can see. The Lakir swam up a bit higher, only to have a net form around him. It was a very dangerous job for the catchers of the Lakir, but they managed it. This is not as large a weakness as many other magical creatures, but it has done a lot for those who find the Lakir a fascinating beast to study.
