At The End Of The Road, Lucas Mitchell
Chapter 2
At The End Of The Road, by Lucas Mitchell (2001)
When there is nothing left to say
And we have found our way
Will you still be here
Or will you disappear?
When the light fades
And darkness takes its place
Will you be the light
By which I see in the night?

Ruby's Notes
Alright, normally my thoughts on the poem would be first, but this is a special case, as there is very deep meaning behind this poem.
Lucas Mitchell, a half-blood wizard, lost his mother at a very young age and his father a mere three years later. This poem is directed at his brother, Oliver - the only family he had. They were both fifteen when Lucas wrote the poem.
So, my thoughts on this poem? I think it's interesting, because despite the incredible trauma they have gone through together, Lucas still worries about Oliver leaving him alone with no one left to turn to.
