I get up and get ready for my first day at Hogwarts. I brush my hair and put it in a french braid. I get my books and things that I might need for today and head out the Gryffindor Tower when Harry Potter stops me.

"Are you related to Professor Snape?" he asks me

"I don't know." I tell him and I go to my first class, Potions in the dungeon. 

I sit and wait for Professor Snape to come in considering I am the first one in the classroom so I sit down and read Magical Drafts and Potions. People start to come in right as I finish the third chapter. Lavender Brown, a Gryffindor first year, sits by me on my left and Susan Bones, a Hufflepuff First year, sits by me on my right. The door bursts open as Professor Snape walks in. 

"This year I will teach you how to make simple potions." He says as he looks right at me.

For the rest of the hour was boring. Professor Snape was talking the whole time. So I started to read my book, Where There's a Wand, There's a Way. 

"Erika Detention. You do not read other books in my class. Your detention will be in my Classroom tonight." He says sternly.

I put my book away and wait for the end of the day. I finished with my Transfiguration class when I start to read my book again.

"Erika your detention with Professor Snape." Hermione says

I bolt out the Gryffindor Tower and down to the dungeon.  I knock and hear a faint come in.
