Chapter 2: The Stoney Suprise With A Little Secret

Chapter 3

(Destiny's POV)

At about 5 to 8 I got to the Stone Circle, and hid in a bush behind it. I waited to see if someone turned up, but by 8 when they did, it was too dark to see. I dug out my flashlight, don't leave the castle in winter without one. Seriously. And started walking around the outside of the circle to try and see who it was, but failed. When I got back round to the bridge, I turned my flashlight on and walked into the circle. The person was sitting on the floor, and moved away from the flashlight beam. 'Am I late?' I asked shyly, trying to figure out who it was. They jumped up, walking over, and put a warm hand on my cheek. 'Na, you're just in time!' I moved the flashlight up slowly. First I saw the smirk, then the grey eyes, then the white hair. It was Draco Malfoy.

Right, this was weird. Why would Draco, of all people, want me to meet him at this time of night? He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the circle. 'Where we going?' I questioned quickly, beginning the worry slightly. 'Well I couldn't let you wander out here by yourself could I?' He stopped suddenly. 'You're scared, aren't you?' I nod slowly, figuring it was best to tell the truth. 'Don't be. I won't let anything hurt you.' He whispered, his head against mine, an arm round my waist. I smile a little, and pipe up again. 'So where is it we're going, exactly?' He carried on leading me towards the Black Lake, then took a sharp turn towards a little staircase. We tiptoed down the steps and I found myself looking at a campfire with a bag of marshmallows on the side. A smile stretched on my face, but quickly disappeared when a thought flashed through my head. 'Wait. Why did you do all this if you just wanted to talk to me?' I asked carefully. 'Oh! Um, I guess I thought it'd be cold tonight.' He shrugged. 'Oh, okay,' I smiled, sitting down. 'So what d'you wanna talk about?'

So we sat down, and after a whole bag of marshmallows it began to make sense. Draco had liked me since first year, the way I lashed out after the little "incident" at the station before we got on the train. He thought I was pretty too, but I thought it would be more cute back then. He did still like me, and he was worried Fred was going to hurt me like Cedric Diggory and Cormac McLaggen had before him. He finished and sighed. 'I bet that sounds pathetic from a big, bad Slytherin like me, right?' I shook my head. 'No! No, it's sweet. I'm glad I have someone to rely on like that other Harry and Hermione.' He smiled, and it was a real smile. Not a small, slightly hidden smile. Not a Draco Malfoy signature smirk. A real smile. I gave him a small hug. 'It's late, we better get back up to the castle. I really need sleep before tomorrow!' I yawned. He stood me up and smiled. 'True, just try and keep the hair under control. I know you're a Metamorphmagus and all, but white hair doesn't look got on anyone!' I scoffed and hit his arm, but accepted when he wanted to hold my hand as we walked back to the castle.
