I sat by the door wondering if I would get my letter to hogwarts. Soon a letter came through. I held my breath to see who it was from, but at one glance at it I knew it wasn't hogwarts. My heart sinking as I picked up the letter.  When I looked at my letter I quickly recognized the handwriting. I knew that it was Iris daughter of Luna and Rolf Scamanders. It said

         Dear Lily,

           I got my letter to hogwarts today!!! Have you gotten your letter yet. Hope you do. I really am looking          forward to seeing you on the train. This time I won't watch someone leave I will leave from my snotty little sister, Luna. She  acts like an angel, when you're around, but she really is a little devil!! Hope to see you soon!

Oh great now Iris has a letter and I don't. I can't tell her I didn't get a letter from hogwarts then she and Maire would be at home sobbing until they get back. Soon mom came in and could tell I wasn't happy I hadn't gotten my letter yet. She said " Lily are you un happy you haven't gotten your letter yet?" " Yes" I said trying to hold back tears. Iris and Maire have both gotten their letters and I haven't I sobbed not being able to hold back my tears any longer. "Well thats no fun when all your friends get to go and you don't.  Harry!! Your father and I would like to show you something." What could it be I wondered. Then my father came in and gave me something, telling me " Fred and George gave me this in my 3rd year. I want you to have it. It really is very useful."
