Each chapter is based on a lesson; where it won't go into grave detail, but will give you the necessary components to study for upcoming tests & assignments. Chapter 1

Albion ⊱ Also known as the Kingdom of Britain.

Autodidact ⊱ One who is proficient in teaching themselves a skill or a talent.

Basilisk ⊱ A reptile creature which are deadly when looking into its eyes.

Burdock Muldoon ⊱ The Chief Warlock of the Wizards' Council.

Elfrida Clagg ⊱ Chieftainess of the Wizards' Council in 1643.

Ephraim Calder ⊱ The first headmaster of Hogwarts.

European Continental Shelf ⊱ A part of the Eurasian Plate.

Excalibur ⊱ A magical relic which ensured the one using it would be unharmed when in battle. This sword must be retrieved from the Lady of the Lake.

Fame ⊱ Known among many for successful accomplishments.

Flame Freezing Charm ⊱ Made fire safe enough to stand in or walk through it. Its effect was a tickling sensation. This was used mainly for those in the witch trials & burnings.

Four Founders ⊱ The founders of Hogwarts. Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, & Rowena Ravenclaw.

Glacial Lake Outburst Flood ⊱ A flood when water from glacier breaks.

Godric's Hollow ⊱ A village named after Godric Gryffindor. Also known as Dark Hollow.

Guinevere Leodegram ⊱ Arthur's wife.

Half-Blood ⊱ A bloodline that consists of a magical person & a Muggle.

Hengist of Woodcroft ⊱ Founder of Hogsmeade.

Infamy ⊱ Well-known for a bad status, such as blood purity or a harmful deed.

International Statute of Secrecy ⊱ Created in 1689. This law was to protect magical folk from the witch trials & to protect young magical folk of being seen due to accidental magic mishaps.

Isidore Littletree ⊱ The head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation.

Legilimency ⊱ The act of steering through one's mind to unravel information.

Lycanthrope ⊱ Werewolves.

Magi-Historians ⊱ Historians who study the history of magic.

Mordred ⊱ The son of Arthur. Also known as his nephew by Morgause.

Morgana Le Fay ⊱ Believed that because she was the eldest of her siblings, the throne belonged to her. She lived in Avalon to teach magical arts.

Parselmouth ⊱ A witch or wizard capable of talking in snake language.

Renaissance Era ⊱ The era between the fourteenth & seventeenth centuries.

Round Table ⊱ A table with one-hundred & fifty seats. This was given to Arthur as a wedding gift from Merlin. The last seat, the Siege Perilous, could be only taken by a knight's purest heart.

Rowena's Diadem ⊱ Its power is said to strengthen the wisdom of the one who wears it.

The Museum of Magic's British Hall of Fame ⊱ Shows the achievements of five-hundred & ninety-three wizards who contributed to the wizarding world. None are famed for infamy.

The Witchcraft Act ⊱ A law created in 1735, which made one guilty of accusing another of witchcraft. If charged, you would get a year of jail time.

Ulick Gamp ⊱ The first Minister of Magic.

Unplottable ⊱ No one can locate a place on a map. Even pointing to an area to locate a place's whereabouts is tough.

Vivien ⊱ Morgana's star student, but was also Merlin's downfall in defeat.

Wolfsbane Potion ⊱ Allows werewolves to be aware of themselves while transforming.
