TW AND CW: light to heavy cursing

I guess I made the right decision.

Am I doing the wrong thing?

I don't know.

The only person I've ever dated was... actually, I haven't.

Anyways, I considered Nico a good acquaintance... so I invited him over for Netflix again.

Austin and Kayla weren't too happy with me.

"AGAIN?!" shrieked Austin.

"Shush!" I said quickly, trying to calm him down. "It's just a night of Netflix, chill."

"HE CAN'T CHILL!" yelled Kayla.

"I CAN'T CHILL!" specified Austin.

"NONE OF YOU CAN SHUT YOUR MOUTHS, APPARENTLY!" shrieked Malcolm from the Athena cabin next door.

After some calming down, Austin and Kayla finally... well... calmed down.

"Um..." I said uncertainly. "I wanted to tell you guys something."

Austin and Kayla just nodded, not wanting to cut in.

"I was thinking of coming out to Nico?" I said, letting my fingers fidget with each other in anxiety.

"It's your choice," said Kayla with a warm smile. "It's your place to tell him."

"But we support you the whole way," added Austin kindly.

"Alright," I said, feeling a surge of confidence. "I'm gonna tell him. Besides, I've known him for both of the wars. We've known each other long enough."

Kayla and Austin muffled me in a hug on the carpet of the Apollo cabin.

"Ok, you're choking me now," I mumbled, turning red.

"AND PUBLICLY EMBARRASSING YOU," added another camper from nearby.

"Thank you for that piece of valid information," I sighed.

Kayla and Austin stopped hugging me.

Kayla checked her watch. "Shit- I'm late for archery."

"And I'm late for sword practice!" grumbled Austin, grabbing his sword.

Kayla rushed around to her bed to get her bow and quiver. "Will, don't you have any classes?"

"I'm a Healer, Kay," I said with a grin. "The afternoon is my patient check-up ti- CRAP, I'M LATE!"

I ran out of the Apollo cabin, not even sparing a glance at Kayla and Austin, who were now choking with laughter.

I tried to recount the number of my patients.

There was...

Katie Gardner from the Demeter cabin, Harley from the Hephaestus cabin, and Julia Feingold from the Hermes cabin.

They were all out with the flu.

I wouldn't be able to do anything but just give them some ambrosia and maybe some Tylenol.

I skidded to a stop when I reached the infirmary.

I strode in and waved to 2 slightly annoyed campers being annoyed by Harley, who didn't even seem like he was sick. He was very jovial-looking, dancing around the room.

I cleared my throat.

Harley stopped dancing and turned around to wave to me. "Hiya, Will!"

"Hi, Harley," I said with a grin. "You seem better. You think you're ready to be discharged?"

"But I made new friends!" pouted Harley. "I don't wanna go yet!"

Katie and Julia, on the other hand, shook their heads frantically.

"But you don't want to get sick again, right?" I asked Harley.

"No!"

"Then let's come on, I'll give you one of my special Starbursts," I said, kneeling down to his level. "And then you can go back to your cabin and take a small nap, alright? You need a bit of sleep."

"I hardly sleep," said a familiar voice from the door of the infirmary.

"Seriously, Nico," I sighed. "Everytime I see you, you enter the room with the most darkest comments to shatter everyone's days. Also, you need to get that sleep thing checked."

"Nah," shrugged Nico.

He was wearing his black aviator's jacket with embroidered badges stuck all around it.

"So are we doing this Netflix thing or what?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Gimme a second, I need to give them some ambrosia," I said, bustling around to find the ambrosia ziploc. I gave both Katie and Julia a piece and Harley a Starburst.

"Thank you!" he said excitedly, and ran out of the infirmary.

"Bye, Will," said Katie and Julia in unison and waved to me as I strode over to Nico.

"Um, Nico..." I said nervously as we walked out of the infirmary. "I just wanted to let you know... I'm gay."

Nico nodded. "Ok. I am too."

I blinked. "Thanks for telling me, then."

"Same goes to you," said Nico, a smile flickering at the corner of his lips. "What movie are we watching today?"

"Well..." I said, running a hand through my wavy blond hair. "We also have Disney+, and I was thinking... Tangled?"

Nico raised an eyebrow. "Tangled? Really?"

"I'm secretly convinced Rapunzel's a daughter of Apollo."

Nico snorted. "Yeah, as if Rapunzel- a fictional princess- is a daughter of a Greek god most people believe to be a myth."

I shrugged. "I tried this one Rapunzel thing on Kayla once. Here, lemme show you... Show me your hands."

Nico was a little confused, I could tell, but he held out his hands.

As I suspected, there were some fresh cuts from sword practice.

I picked up Nico's hand and placed it on my head.

"Uh..." said Nico.

"Flowers gleam and glooooowwwwwww," I said loudly. 

"Are you kidding me?" Nico muttered. 

"Well," I said. "I'm not really blond, you know."

"You dye it?"

"No, Apollo did the Tangled thing when I got claimed," I said, trying to stifle a laugh. "THAT WAS A JOKE."

"Yeah," sighed Nico. "Unfortunately, I got that part."

"Soooooo..." I asked eagerly. "Can we watch Tangled?"

He looked grumpy, but I swear I saw him grin a little. "Yeah, alright, let's go."
