The next morning, I had to go back to the infirmary to check on Nico.

"Hey, Nico," I said with a yawn. "You feeling better?"

"Yeah," he said simply, still laying in bed with the covers yanked up to his chin. "Morning."

"You sure you're fine? No ambrosia or anything? You need any painkillers or something?"

Nico shook his head. "It's fine, really."

I wasn't completely sure, but I nodded anyways.

"I gotta go make sure the other patients are all good," I said. "See you later."

He waved and I waved back.

I strode off to to check on all the patients.

When I was done, I went back to Nico's bed to check on him one last time.

"Nico?" I asked, peeking my head around the corner.

"What's up?"

"The Hephaestus cabin gave the Apollo kids one of their extra TVs," I said with a grin. "You wanna come by later to watch Netflix or something?"

It was faint, but I swear I could've seen Nico's pale face flush with color. 

He shrugged. "Yeah, sure."

I nodded. "Well, as long as you're feeling better, you can go ahead and get breakfast."

Nico nodded and made for the infirmary door until he turned back. "I'll see you later, then."

"See ya."
