Flobberworms are classified as x by the Ministry of Magic. They are an invertebrate worm that can grow up to two inches long. They are usually brown in color, and look identical on both ends. They prefer to live in damp ditches. Flobberworms are hermaphrodites.

Uses

Flobberworms are boring creatures, but have many uses in the wizarding world. There mucus is used in several different potions as a thickener and is an important ingredient in the Wiggenweld potion. The mucus is also used as an emulsifier in potions. Flobberworms are user in culinary, with Flobberworm fritters being popular here at Hogwarts.
