Special Events, and Things That Happened This Month

This month on the 10th, Jeff Beck, member of The Jeff Beck Group, passed. On the 16th, the lead vocalist of the Norwegian Black Metal band Mayhem, Dead (Per Ohlin), who passed, would be turning 54.

Bands Of The Month

The alternative bands of this month are; Mayhem, Guns N Roses, and Dead Kennedys. Mayhem is a Norwegian Black Metal band, their guitarist created this genre of music, and there are one of the most notorious metal bands because of their violent and crazy story and members. Guns N Roses is a Rock, or Glam Metal band from the 80’s, most famous for their members Slash, the guitarist, and the vocalist Axl Rose. The Dead Kennedys are a Punk band from the 70’s, they’ve released countless albums and are an amazing band, I recommend them for anyone just getting into punk.

Song of the Month

“Sweating Bullets” Megadeth. Sweating Bullets is a song by Megadeth, sung by Dave Mustaine. The song is about being paranoid, and quite literally sweating bullets.

Music Fashion

Patch pants, anyone that’s punk needs a pair of patch pants. They’re a big thing in the punk style and community and they’re just super cool. patch pants are a pair of pants, it really doesn’t matter what type, that are covered in patches. The patches can have anything on them, ranging from bands to symbols, and just anything you like, even movies. You sew, or iron the patches onto the pants. You can of course use thread to sew them on, but lots of punks, including myself, use floss. There’s lots of different reasons why people use floss, some people say it’s better than thread, and others just saw someone else do it. Patch pants are a lot of work but the outcome is super cool, it’s a fun way to show off your favorite bands and your style.
