- Chapter 6 -
The dwarfs were up at sunrise causing quite a ruckus. Snow woke up from her sleep in pain, her leg ached and she struggled to sit up properly. After slowly getting up off the bed, she started to walk down the stairs only to see the dishes piled up at the sink, bowls of leftover oatmeal on the counter, and clothes thrown all over the floor. She gasped and the dwarfs, who were getting ready, worriedly looked at her.
“Why, this place is such a mess!”
“It’s comfortable!” grunted grumpy.
And with that, Doc gave Snow White some extra clothes and they all ran out the door. Snow White looked around the messy room, it really did look like a tornado flew through. Snow got straight to work, starting with the dishes. She washed each and every plate with care making sure not to break anything before neatly putting each away. She walked over to the window and opened it, letting the sweet breeze in. Birds flew through the window and around the room, she smiled. Then, she started to pick up the oatmeal dishes and cleaned those as well. The birds helped her pick up the clothing and wash them in the soapy water before hanging them to dry. Snow though for a moment, what could she do? She went to change and then walked outside to the cold air, the birds followed. She wandered around before deciding to go inside and cook something. She made a delicious Gooseberry pie with plum pudding and apple dumplings. Soon later, the dwarfs walked in to see the house completely spotless and food on the table. Snow white was standing there in her dress placing down the last bit of food on the table. The dwarfs sat down their pickaxes on the ground and ran to sit down at the table. They all chowed down on the delicious food, hardly swallowing after each bite.
“She can stay!” screamed all the dwarfs.
“Only if she promises to cook and clean every day..” mumbled Grumpy.
“I cross my heart and hope to die!” joked Snow White.
And as she promised, she cooked and cleaned their mess every day without fail. In the Meantime the queen, or should I say the evil queen, was furious. Snow White wasn’t dead yet, her huntsman had managed to fail at his one job, and she was getting older by the minute. She needed a solution. Now.
