- Chapter 2 -
The queen scoured the village, looking for anyone willing to do her dirty work. Until she found him. The huntsmen. The queen didn't reveal the true reason she wanted Snow White dead, instead she told the huntsmen that Snow White had killed the king herself and that she needed to pay. The Huntsman was astonished by this and immediately agreed to do the task. The queen wasn't a genius, but she was smart enough to know not to get blood on her hands. Meanwhile, Snow was feeding the sparrows from her window, gently giving each one an apple seed. She had a pure heart, and forgave easily. It was almost like the animals understood her, they seemed to trust her, and didn't mind receiving the gifts she offered. Snow White was her happiest when she was in nature, it was like the earth was the only thing there for her, the only thing to catch her every time she fell. Just as a blanket of snow started to fall over the peaceful landscape the queen called Snow White down to the entryway. Snow nervously walked down the spiral staircase and to the entryway, where the queen was standing along with a guard holding her cape. “Oh my dear Snow White..” the queen announced apologetically. “I apologize for my actions the past week. I was wondering if you would want to go for one of your nature walks? By yourself of course” Snow smiled. She hadn't been let out of the castle in weeks, the queen wouldn't allow it. Of course, Snow White being Snow White forgave the queen for her actions and agreed to her idea. The queen let out a smile. A smile that seemed so innocent, yet had a much crueler meaning. Snow grabbed her cape and walked out the doors. The snow was cold and seemed to stab at her skin as she walked further toward the woods. She paused for a moment, taking in her surroundings, only to feel a horrible gut feeling that just wouldn't go away. Snow quickened her pace trying to ignore the itching feeling that something was horribly wrong.
