Chapter 4: Wingardium Leviosa

Chapter 5

This is a very common spell known as the "Levitation spell" or "Wingardium Leviosa", It can be used to make almost anything float lighter than air. There are lesser variations of the Levitation spell such as: The Hover Charm, The Rocket Charm, and The Floating Charm.

HISTORY: The Levitation spell was made in 1544 by warlock Jarieth Hobart who had mistakenly belived that he had at least succeded in doing what wizardkind had so for failed to do, and learnt to fly. He then practiced the incartaion on many things to see if they would fly and in matter of fact, they did.

ETYMOLOGY: Wingardium is a composite word based on English  to "wing" meaning "to fly", Arduus meaning "High, tall, lofty, and proudly elevated", or Arduum meaning "The steep". Leviosa derives from latin "levo" meaning to "Raise/lift up" or "levis" meaning "Light of weight". All together the incarnation could be best read as "Lift up high"

Now the sign for the spell is in the photo below but first you must practice the pronounciation. The pronounciation is "wing-GAR-dee-um Leh-vee-OH-sa". Do not forget to practice!
