The House
Chapter 3
I groaned at the annoying beeping noise of my alarm and slammed my hand on it to make it stop.
"Are you not up already?" tutted a familiar voice.
"Lily!" I gasped, jumping up in bed. "Why're you here?"
Lily grinned, leaning against the doorframe. "I can't come visit my best friend anymore?"
I smirk. "That's not the only reason, eh?"
Lily blushed. "So I came to see James, so what?"
"I HEARD MY NAME!" James screeched from the dining room.
"SHUT UP, LAMES!" Lily roared back. "IT'S 7:00 IN THE MORNING AND I DON'T NEED THIS TODAY!"
I blinked. "Well, the screaming was one thing that woke me up."
Lily grimaced. "You should change, Sirius wanted me to tell you that you two were going to a house or something."
"Oh, yeah," I said, pulling my robes over my t-shirt and jeans. "We're checking out the house today and seeing if it's a hood home."
Lily squealed. "I'm so happy for you two."
I grinned again, combing my hair into a loose bun. "Thanks, Lils. By the way, when's Dumbledore's group thing starting?"
"Sometime next week, I think," said Lily with a shrug. "Dunno. He sent a letter saying he'd send the details to all of us seperately later on."
I nodded, ignoring my desperate urge to go curl back in bed. "Thanks. I should get going, then. Have fun, Lily. Send lots of letters."
"Bye, Mar," she smiled. "See you soon."
I waved and jogged downstairs. "Hey, Sirius. Ready to go?"
Sirius nodded and yawned. "I didn't wanna wake up this early either, but they're only letting us see it in the morning."
I waved it off. "It's alright. See you later, James."
"BYE PRONGSIE!" yelped Sirius, linking arms with me, and with a crack, we had Apparated right into the front yard of a small and homey looking cottage.
It had a baby-blue rooftop and white lined the rims of the windows. It was a very quaint and cozy little cottage, and it was big enough for 4 people.
"This is literally the most beautiful house I've ever seen," gaped Sirius, looking around.
"Agreed," I muttered back, walking around the kitchen, my shoes clacking against the wooden floors. "Sirius! Look!"
Sirius rushed over. "What?"
"They have a HUGE fridge!" I squealed. "Now I can put lots of food in there. It'll be my personal food storage fridge."
"Our shared food storage fridge," corrected Sirius.
After looking around the beautiful home a couple more times, we decided it was time to go home and left the house and Apparating back to James' house with a large crack.
