Marauders REUNITE BECAUSE I SAID SO

Chapter 11

I heard a loud knock on the door.

"It's me, Pete!" said Peter from outside.

"Prove it," I said back, holding out my wand.

"Your favorite food is apple strudels and you like eating them with Sirius while watching television," said Peter briskly.

"That's you," I sighed, opening the door. "Who's this?" I nodded towards the girl with curly hair standing next to him.

"My girlfriend," said Peter with a grin. "She's joined the Order to."

"I'm Sarah Dawkins, nice to meet you," she said with a wide grin, shaking my hand. "I'm not a witch, I'm afraid, just a Squib."

I smiled. "It's all good. Come on in. Everyone's waiting."

Peter and Sarah walked into the living room as I shut the cottage door.

"Beautiful home," said Sarah.

"Thanks," I said with a grin. "Come on, sit down."

"Hi Lily, hi James!" said Peter, waving to the couple sitting on the couch and chatting.

"Hi Pete!" they said back in unison.

Alice waved to Peter and Sarah excitedly and turned back to her conversation with Remus. They had broken up, because Remus insisted that his condition had gotten far worse and dangerous. Alice said she didn't mind it at all, but trusted his decision and they remained good friends, which they were both glad of.

Peter and Sarah sat down in the other couch.

"We heard the good news, James," said Peter with a grin.

"I know!" squealed James. "I'M A HUSBAND, PEOPLE!"

I sighed. "Not yet, James," I walked over to sit down next to Sirius, who grinned up at me as I plopped down next to him. "You're getting married in a month. There's still some time."

"I'm your best man, though, right?" asked Sirius seriously.

James raised an eyebrow. "I was actually thinking Remus. He would give a good speech."

"I can give plenty good speeches," argued Sirius.

"Mostly interruped with the word poo," added in Remus.

Sirius grinned. "Ok, so maybe your wedding speech is about poo. So what? It's a natural process."

"Well, my Maid of Honor is definitely gonna be Marlene," said Lily with a wide smile. "And Al is our bridesmaid- you too, Sarah!"

Sarah grinned. "I don't know you that well, I really shouldn't-"

"Any friend of our friends is our friend," said James.

"That made no sense at all," noted Alice.

"And the flower girl can be Sirius!" I piped up. "He has that nature about him, don't you think?"

"I hate you," grumbled Sirius, folding his arms.

"Ditto."

"I thought you two were in love," said Lily, scrunching up her eyebrows.

"We are," said Sirius in confusion.

"Who said we weren't?" I added.

"The bickering," admitted James.

"Yeah, like you two don't bicker everyday," I said, raising my eyebrows.

Lily and James blushed and turned away.

"Alright," I said, standing up and clapping my hands together. "It's getting late, so how about you all stay for dinner?"

Peter and Sarah didn't have the time, so they bid everyone else goodbye and left the cottage.

Everyone else stayed and helped me make dinner.

It felt like being back in Hogwarts, making mac 'n' cheese at 10:00 PM and waking up half the castle because you didn't know how to turn of the heat on the stove.

Don't judge me. I get hungry in the middle of the night.

But it felt reminiscent, everybody bustling in the kitchen, struggling to find forks and spatulas, accidentally spilling flour onto the finally clean floors.

For the time Sirius and I had lived in our cottage, we thought of it as our house.

Now, I thought of it as our home.

Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! It was more of a filler chapter to show all the marauders meeting up again before Lily and James' wedding!

I also hope you guys liked the character Sarah! She's really important to the rest of the story, so don't forget about her. Anyways, thanks so much! :)

Love, Jui W.
