Story 1

When I was three, you said, 'Stay here, don't move. I'll be back in five minutes.'

When I was twenty-three, you still didn't come back.

Dad, now I don't want that lollipop on the other side of the street.

Story 2

When I was five, you left me a letter:

My dear daughter. Dad has played hide-and-seek with you many times, but I am always caught by you very quickly. This time, I decide to hide in a very secret place so you can't find me. The game will last till your sixteenth birthday. Don't ask others where I am before your sixteenth birthday or you will lose. You cannot cry, or you will be out~ If mum and grandmother cry, please comfort them to stop them, for it's against the rules.

When I was sixteen, I wrote a letter back to you:

Dear dad. I am sixteen today. For eleven years, I followed the rules, I didn't cry, I comforted mum and grandmother. I kept looking for you without asking your hiding place. But I can't find you. Dad, this time, you win. Now, the game is over, can I cry?

Story 3

When I was young, I asked my father, 'My mother has gone, will you find me a stepmother?' He answered, 'I only love your mother this whole life.' One day, he took back a woman and told me, he is going to get married. I slapped him on his face and cried. Since then, he never mentions about getting married.

Years after his death, I found a photo in his closet. It was a photo of me. Behind the photo, there are some words - 'Comrade-in-arms' son is my son'
