Hexes

Hexes are moderate dark magic, causing major inconveniance to the target. Some hexes are used by non-dark wizards too, as the Bat-Bogey hex, used atleast two times by Ginny Weasly for good.

Bat-Bogey Hex

This hex transformed the targets bogeys into bats flying out of their nose.

The canon incantation is unknown, but this is my headcanon:

Incantation: 'Vespexis' (VEH-spe-ksis). The incantation is these three Latin words merged together; 'Vespertilio', which means 'bat', 'Ex' that means 'out of' or 'exit', and 'Naris' which means 'nose'.

Wand movement:

Knee-reversal Hex

The hex reverses the position of the knees - from the front, to the back.

The canon incantation and hand movement are unknown, but this is my headcanon:

Incantation: 'Mutagenus' (mut-ah-GEE-nus). Originating from the Latin words 'Mutare' which means 'change', and 'Genu' which means 'knee'.

Hand movement: Point your wand at their knees/legs and draw a small circle with your wand.

Toenail-growing Hex

This hex makes the targets toenails grow at an alarmingly fast rate. This is one of the hexes that we're tried by Harry Potter, once again proving that also non-dark wizards can use Dark Magic. The hex was invented by Severus Snape.

The canon incantation and hand movement are unknown, but this is my headcanon:

Incantation: 'Accretio Clavus' (AKK-reth-ee-oh KLA-vus). 'Accretio' means 'growth' in Latin, and 'Clavus' means 'claw' or 'nail'.

Hand movement: Point at the targets feet.

Stickfast Hex

The hex make the victims feet to stick to the ground, causing them to trip if they attempt to move.

Incantation: Colloshoo (CAWL-low-shoo)

Hand movement:

It creates yellow light.

Tickling Hex

As the name states, the spell creates hands out of purple light that tickle the victim, weakening them.

Incantation: Titillando (ti-tee-LAN-do)

Bedazzling Hex

This hex turned objects invicible. The effect wears off after some time.

The incantation and hand movement are canonically unknown, but these are my headcanons;

Incantation: Abdere (ab-DEER). It means 'hide' in Latin.

Hand movement: Flick of wand.

Confusion Hex

Confuses the victims, weakening them mentally.

Canon incantation and hand movement unknown. My headcanons;

Incantation: Conturbo (con-TUR-boh). Latin for 'to confuse' or 'to disturbe'.

Hand movement: WIP

Densaugeo

This hex makes the victims front teeth grow at an alarming rate.

Incantation: Densaugeo (den-SAU-jee-oh).

Hand movement:

It creates violet light.

Deterioration Hex

This hex impairs foes and reduces their stamina.

Canon incantation and hand movement unknown. My headcanons;

Incantation: Morabor Aliquis (MORE-ah-bore al-E-kwis). In Latin meaning 'to slow down someone else'.

Hand movement: WIP

Horn Tounge Hex

Transforms the victims tounge into a horn.

Canon incantation and hand movement unknown. My headcanons;

Incantation: Dicere Acriter (ditch-EER ACK-rit-ur). In Latin; 'to speak sharply'.

Hand movement: WIP

Hurling Hex

Applied to a broomstick, it causes the broomstick to try to hurl off its rider.

Incantation: Unknown. My headcanon; Excutite (ex-cute-EET). Means 'shake off' in Latin.

Hand movement: Point wand.

It creates no light.

Illegal Growth Hex

Enlarges the victims head. It's effects are hard to reverse back to normal, since one of it's victims head took several months before returning to normal.

Incantation and hand movement are both canonically unknown, but the incantation is suspected to be 'Engorgio Skullus'.

Incantation: Engorgio Skullus.
