Charms
Chapter 1
Introduction / Charms Journal (Essay)
Part One - Introduction:
I am Lily Scamonger, i am taking this class for two reasons. One, because it is required (obviously), and two, because charms are important to being a with or a wizard and i belive they are a thing you MUST know. I am a pureblood witch, i started practicing magic when i was 8 years old, and im in Gryffindor.
I am quite interested in charms. Not as much as im interested in Defense Against the Dark Arts or potions, but i still find it fun, and interegueing! I prefer using spells that are official. It feels more like an actual spell and gives me the real feeling like i am at Hogwarts. I find some unofficial spells confusing at times as well.
I have a few opinions about things in charms, such as spellcasting theory. I do not belive spellcasting theory is efficient or helpful to actually learning spells. If you learn charms, or any spells for that matter, you should not try fully learning them fro m theory. If you are in real need of a spell, you need to know it. Knowing a spell doesn't just mean knowing the incantation. You need to know the wand movement and you need to practice the spell once or twice as well.
Part Two - Journal Plan:
For my journal, i will be writing in my textbook, then pasting it in the assignment box!
I will jot down random notes. Some may be sentences, same may be random statements and some might not be proper sentences. So, my journal will be a mix of a few things though it should be easy to understand!
