Ana and Remus dashed through the halls to the prefect's compartments.

Ana reached the door first and slammed it open. "We're here!" she panted. "Give me a second to catch my breath..." 

Remus followed behind her closely.

The Slytherin and Ravenclaw prefects were looking at them with raised eyebrows.

Alfie Macmillian, the Hufflepuff prefect, was occupied in his book (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them).

The other Gryffindor prefect sat in the corner with a smirk.

In case you haven't guessed already, the prefect was Lily.

Ana squinted at her.

Lily held in a snort and shrugged at Ana as if to say, "Oh well, I thought you would remember the meeting."

Ana rolled her eyes playfully and sat down next to Alfie.

Remus sat next to Lily quietly.

The Head Boy and Girl clapped their hands.

"Listen up," said the Head Girl. "I'm Cassie Sallow and I'm your Head Girl this year."

The Head Boy snorted.

Cassie elbowed him.

"This is Daniel Markowitz," she said primly, jabbing her thumb towards Daniel. "He also goes by severe idiot."

Daniel gaped at her.

Cassie rolled her eyes. "I think it's best if we all introduce ourselves first. What are your names?"

"I'm Alfie Macmillian," said Alfie in a thick Scottish accent, putting down his book. 

"Ana Miracle," Ana piped up.

"Penny Flint," said the Slytherin prefect with a sneer. 

A/n: Slytherins rule, but since the Marauders hate Slytherin, I'm going to have to make them a little more aggressive. I'm sooooooo sorry about it, but I love all houses equally! :)

"Turner Flint," said the other Slytherin prefect. "Her brother," he said, pointing at Penny.

"Emmeline Vance," said the first Ravenclaw prefect.

"And Dorcas Meadowes," piped up the other one.

"I'm Remus Lupin," said Remus with a smile.

"Lily Evans," said Lily, her bright green eyes sparkling with a glint of mischief.

"Great," said Daniel. "Let's head out for our Prefect rounds, then. Slytherins take the front end of the train, Ravenclaw on the back end, Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors split into equal pairs and go around the middle."

"I'll go with Alfie," said Lily, grinning at Ana.

Ana squinted at Lily.

Remus raised an eyebrow. "Er... let's go, An."

Ana and Remus stalked off through the hall.

As they walked, Ana spotted Alice chatting with a 6th year Gryffindor, Frank Longbottom.

Ana grinned.

Remus glanced down at her. "What's up?"

Ana giggled. "Alice's chatting it up with Longbottom."

Remus' eyes followed hers and he grinned. "You're never letting Alice see the end of this, are you?"

"Never," said Ana, smiling up to see Remus' head. "Geez," she said with a blink.

"What?"

"I just realized you're 7 feet tall," said Ana, smirking. "Your head's touching the ceiling."

"I'm not 7 feet," argued Remus. "I'm like-"

"Oi!" yelped Cassie Sallow from next to another compartment. "Stop flirting and get back to work!"

Ana and Remus blushed furiously and turned away, walking through the corridors again briskly.

After seperating 1 snogging couple and two bullies, their rounds were over and they said goodbye and went back to their respective compartments.

Ana flopped into her seat next to Alice, Lily, and Marlene. "Pain!" she yelped.

Alice jumped.

"Why?" inquired Marlene.

"The Head Girl thought Remus and I were flirting the whole time!"

Lily, Alice, and Marlene shared a look.

"How're we gonna tell her, guys?" asked Marlene jokingly.

Ana scoffed. "Yeah, like you don't like that idiot Black."

Marlene stuck her tongue out in disgust. "Ew. He's a jerk."

A/n: say that again in a year marlene...

Lily nodded and raised her hand. "I can agree."

Alice scoffed loudly, something very unlike her. "Like you don't have your eyes set on James Potter!"

Lily blushed as red as her hair. "No, I don't!"

"Pretty sure you do..." mumbled Marlene.

"But we haven't talked about the elephant in the room yet," said Ana with a smirk.

Alice raised an eyebrow.

"I saw you chatting it up with Frank Longbottom..."

Alice blushed. "Well, he's a good guy. Very sweet."

Lily tried her hardest not to break out in laughter.

Marlene patted Alice on the back. "Alice, Alice, Alice. How do we tell you this? You're in love, child."

"I met him 15 minutes ago!"

"So you don't deny it."

"Mar!"

"What?" she asked, eating a Bertie Botts Bean. "It's not like I'm lying..."
