TW AND CW: mild to heavy cursing

The next morning, Ana woke up to see that no one was in their beds, and the sun was shining directly over the house when she looked out of the window.

"What the-"

Ana slipped out of bed, pulled her retainer out and stuffed it inside it's case, and jogged downstairs.

"Hello, Ana, dear," said Mrs. Potter kindly. She was seated at the dining table, reading the newspaper while Mr. Potter was dozing on the couch.

"What time is it?" she asked confusedly.

"12:30," Mrs. Potter said. "It is a little late, but you seemed awfully tired and in need of some good old sleep. Everyone else is playing Quidditch in the backyard... or trying to."

Ana laughed. "I suppose I ought to go see what they're up to, then."

"Have fun!" called out Mrs. Potter, waving to Ana, as she dashed out the back door.

When Ana was outside, the only thing she could see was:

A) Marlene, Alice, Ivy, Sage, and Lily gossiping- "OMG SPILL THE TEA RIGHT NOW, AL!!!"

B) James and Sirius arguing- "You know I scored that goal, James, you're just lying to yourself-"

C) Peter and Frank napping in the shade

D) Remus reading Little Women

Ana strolled over to the arguing boys. "Now, now, let's settle this," she said, stifling a yawn.

James glared at her. "Tell Sirius he's wrong. Tell him right now."

The two boys were both holding Comet 260s in their hands, sending withering looks at one another.

"I'm not saying anyone did or didn't make the goal until I hear the facts," Ana said, folding her arms.

"The facts are that I scored a goal and that James is wrong," said Sirius, sticking his tongue out at James. 

"NEITHER OF YOU ARSEHOLES SCORED A GOAL!" yelled Mr. Potter from inside the house. "NOW SHUT UP AND LET ME NAP!"

Everyone in the backyard was silent for a moment.

Then Ana broke the silence by clapping her hands together and grinning. "Well, looks like that problem's been solved."

She strutted away to the gossipers.

"What's today's topic?" Ana questioned curiously.

"Susan Hawking turned down Edgar Bones," said Ivy matter-of-factly. 

"But doesn't she like him?" Ana said.

"We know," Alice said with a wide grin. "That's what's so cool about it."

Ana snorted and walked over to where Remus sat, in the undisturbed patch of grass, reading Little Women calmly.

"Hey," Ana said, sitting down next to him. "How's your leg feeling?"

"Morning," Remus said with a smile that made butterflies explode in Ana's gut. "Yeah, my leg's feeling much better. I let Mrs. Potter know about it this morning, and she took me to St. Mungos and back."

"Well, that's good, then," Ana said with a smile. "Hold up- is that Little Women you're reading?"

"Yup," Remus confirmed. "It's your favorite, isn't it? Wanna join me?"

Ana scoffed. "Is that even a question?"

The corner of Remus' mouth twitched into a smile. "Alright. We're on the part where they're at the dance."

"Ah, right," Ana said softly, leaning in to look at the page. "This is a really wonderful part."

"I agree," Remus said with a solemn nod.

That afternoon, after they had all had lunch, Lily suggested something that both confused and excited them.

"How about we go to the theatre to watch a movie?" Lily said jovially.

They all sat in James' room, with Ivy and Sage on the higher bunk, Lily, Marlene, and Alice on the lower bunk, James, Sirius, and Peter and Frank on the other bed, and Remus and Ana on the carpet.

"What's a theatre?" asked Ivy curiously. 

"What's a movie?" added Sage.

"Is it like a food?" James inquired.

"Yup," Ana said quickly. "It's a cookie with pizza toppings on it. Tastes soooo good."

Marlene nodded her head in agreement. "I especially love it with shortbread cookies."

"I know, right?" said Sirius excitedly. "Movies are like- the best snacks ever!"

Alice, Peter, Remus and Lily were dying of laughter, while Ivy, Sage, and James simply looked confused.

"Wait," Ivy said. "If the cookie thing is a movie, then what's a theater?"

"The bakery where you bake movies," said Frank seriously, with Alice nodding along frantically. "I'm not joking- there are whole bakeries dedicated to movies!"

Lily snorted. "Stop teasing them," she said playfully. "A movie is- is- ok, you know Muggle cameras that take photos?"

James, Ivy, and Sage nodded eagerly. 

"The ones that don't take moving pictures," added James.

"Yeah, those ones," Lily confirmed. "While they don't take moving pictures, Muggle cameras can take videos- or a series of photos strung together to look like a fluid motion. These can have added audio to them, and full storylines. These story videos are called 'movies'."

Sage was seriously stunned by this. "They- wow."

"So a movie isn't a cookie?" James said, now sounding a little disappointed.

"Unfortunately," Remus supplied, holding in his laughs. "And a theater is a place you go to watch these movies for entertainment purposes."

"Well," said Ivy. "As disappointing as it was to learn that a movie is not a cookie, it does seem very interesting. Maybe we should go to this movie."

"Only big question is," Alice said with a tut. "What flavor of soda am I going to get?"

A/n: I'M SOOOOOO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING FOR SO LONG

But exams were here and i'd rather not fail those- so I took a break for a while to study. But i'm back now!

Next chapter will be out (hopefully) sometime this weekend if I'm available to. Like I mentioned a couple chapters earlier, my schedule is getting really tight now.
