"LILY PUT THAT AWAY THIS INSTANT!" Ana yelped.

"I'm just doing my homework, An," sighed Lily. 

"Homework isn't allowed during the summer!" gasped James.

"Exactly!" continued Ana.

Remus snickered. "Hate to break it to you, but the summer homework is 40% of our grade."

Ana choked on her own spit. "What?"

"You heard me."

Ana sighed, running a hand through her wavy brown hair. "Guess I'm just gonna failing this year, then."

"You're not failing, Ana," tutted Lily. "Nor are you, Potter. I will PERSONALLY make sure none of you fail."

"So... you're gonna do our homework for us?" inqured Marlene, laying on top of the bed casually. 

"No!" said Remus and Lily in unison.

"We'll just HELP you with it," added Remus.

Sirius scoffed, sitting on the carpet in Ana's room. "The last time you helped me with homework you ran out of the library screaming, "That's the last time I'm EVER helping you with homework!"

Remus' eyes widened. "That encounter gave me nightmares."

"What did you do, Sirius?" asked Peter excitedly.

"I may or may not have eaten his homework."

"I'm sorry?" gaped Ana.

Sirius shrugged. "It's just parchment."

"It wasn't JUST homework!" said Sirius proudly. "I ate his dusty old book too!"

Ana's face turned a pale shade of green. "I'm gonna puke."

"You really ate a book, Black?" asked Marlene amusedly.

"Swallowed it WHOLE."

"You didn't swallow it WHOLE, Sirius," sighed Remus exasperatedly. "You broke it up into tiny pieces with your wand and chewed it up."

"That's... worse," said Alice in disgust. 

"How'd it taste?" asked James eagerly.

"Like mint and apples," said Sirius contentedly. "It was a pretty good combo, actually."

Ana turned an even darker shade of green. "Oh. Enjoyable."

James snickered and patted Ana's back. "He's done worse. This is amateurish on Sirius' idiot scale."

"Oh yeah?" asked Marlene. "And what's the stupidest thing this idiot's done?"

A/n: remember, this story is still following the general plotline of my Blackinnon fanfics, so Marlene and Sirius still dislike each other. But they'll become friends by the end of the year and they'll get together by the end of their 6th year at Hogwarts.

"Many things," sighed James wistfully. "Many horribly stupid things."

Ana clicked her tongue. "He once dyed my hair purple."

"Once again, Ana Banana," said James. "That's amateurish for Sirius."

"Then I don't want to know what else he's done," sighed Alice with wide eyes.
