Dear Diary,

The train has come to a stop i look out of my window and there is a huge sign reading Hogsmede station, a few old-fashioned lanterns guiding the way through the dark platform, surrounding the platform is a huge forest whcih you could easily get lost in.

I changed into my robes and I am waiting with my new friends Harriette Birch and Hestia Carter.

We are called out to leave the Carriage and we emerge outside of the train and stand waiting for instruction of where to go next. An elder student emerges from the forest with a lantern and guides us to the great lake where we are assigned into boats and placed into groups. There are 4 in a boat Luckily i was placed into a boat with Hestia and Harriette and another person named Emillia Rothley.

Our boats are lit by the bright glow of lanterns guiding our way across the calm lake, the wind brushes the trees that are becoming further away everytime the boats lead us to shore.

In the distance on top of a hill is Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry eveyone is in awe of the gothic castle as it stands proudley on top of the hill beconing us closer.

We arrive at shore and step out of the boats and climb up and endless staircase awaiting our next instruction.

People are whispering about a sorting ceremony were we get sorted into our houses either: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin.

The proffessor is coming I will write later and tell you about the sorting ceremony
