What a day! Found out I’m part shape shifter, what news to me! Lilia (Lil) and Stella (Stel) arrived today where they meet my neighbors Shane (my mate I’ll explain in a min.) and Hunter.im not sure how I feel about the whole mate thing, it’s just like wow! He can hear my thoughts which kinda worries me what has he heard? oh, then to add to it we are already bond in some way that is irreversible, and there are 2 other ways we will need to be bonded. If he’s my mate shouldn’t I love him? Trust him? I will admit I do feel a connection but that’s a long way from loving him. I guess the most I can do for now is give him a chance and maybe date him? I’m not sure yet this is all just confusing to me. How I feel about this is undecided and I think it will stay that way…

I woke the next morning with Stella shaking me and Lilia over by the door, “You know you’re not to wake me up unless we have school. So go away.” I flipped over and put my head under the pillow.

“Just thought, you might want to know, charming is asleep on the couch.” Lilia said from the door

Flying up out of the blankets and on to my feet, “What! Why did he do that?”

“Said, he was protecting you.” That’s all they had to say about the matter. I sprang up out of my bed and made my way down the stairs.

“What are you thinking sleeping on my couch?  When are you going to get that I don’t like you?” before I knew what I was doing, I ran out of the house and over to Hunters, I didn’t know what he was going to do about this but it was worth a try. Banging on the front door “Hunter I need to talk to you please answer the door .” the door swung open to him looking like he just got out of bed but I guess I didn’t look much better, in my puppy robe and bunny slippers.

“Man, she’s even cute right out of bed and so mad you can see the steam coming out of her ears. Then look who is right on her tail the sidekicks.” He had a huge grin on his face. “If anyone’s the leader here it’s me!” Lilia huffed from behind me, which was true she normally was the head of all our operations.

“Well ladies what can I help you with?”

“Aside from the major eye candy you’re giving us, you can get your cousin off my couch.” Lilia answered him before I even had a chance to open my mouth. His faced flushed at her comment.

“Well ladies, may I first ask why he’s on your couch?” he was rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

“Because he claims to be Scars mate.” Then there was Stella who finally choice to open her big mouth.

“If that’s what it is you’re not getting him off that couch until, he can convince her to let him claim her.”  He sounded kinda small which was odd for him because from what I have seen he has a loud booming voice.

“Until he what’s?!” I was suddenly scared.

He chuckled “Not that kinda of claim he just needs to mark her. All in all it’s just a blood swap.”

I grabbed his hand and started hulling him back to my house “you explain things better than he and my mom does your coming with us!” I declared.

As I opened the door huge arms encircled me, giving me a sense of peace, but I didn’t want it so I started to push away, “Do you have any idea how much I wanted to come after you? But your friends sad it was a bad idea so I didn’t but,  when you stormed out that door I didn’t know what I was going to do! I was sent into a panic as soon as you went through that door, please stop fighting me, if you don’t let me have this my shifter will go crazy and kill anyone in his path.” At this I stopped struggling. I felt his body start to relax, “Ok, I’m good I think.” He released me and took a step back.

“I brought the person that knows how to explain things!” I pointed at Hunter. All he did was wave Shane started to growl.

I turned to him, “What’s wrong with you?”

“You are not to speak of other guys with such affection, please. It drives my shifter mad.” I could feel the anxiety behind the words. I wanted to defy him with every bone in my body.

“Why shouldn’t I it’s not like I can leave you for someone else, wait can I?” I had never thought to ask before.

“Ok, I say we get breakfast before the explaining comes! Because man, am I hungry!” Hunter spoke up from the quiet that no one else seemed to want to break. I nodded my head and walked to the kitchen.

“What y’all wanting to eat, because well all I see at the moment is cereal.” I hear my mom walking down the stairs. “Mom, when are you going to get more food? And why would you only buy stuff for yesterday?”

“Because honey I didn’t think we would have guests as often and your friends know how to feed themselves am I right?” I rolled my eyes and nodded at her.

“Cereal it is guys!” after we all got out cereal we sat down at the kitchen table, “OK, let’s see if I have this right, Hunter and Shane are shape shifters with long lives, I am somehow part shape shifter, and since I am I have a mate, and I can’t decline because he is like the other half of my soul, ok how did I do?” I looked at them questionably

They each nodded their heads before Hunter spoke up, “You did very well with only learning about this last night. But there is a part that he left out.”

Groaning I leaned back in my seat, “What else could there be?”

“Well, he left out the part about there being a spirit realm, and no not just anyone can enter it.” This was not a good explanation at all because with the heck is a spirit world?

“That cleared nothing can you please explain more?” by the looks on my friends faces they were just as confused.

“Well, being a shifter isn’t as easy as it sounds, we are usually in packs, and each pack is given something to protect, and this thing is in the spirit world, our packs object is the royal’s crown.”  I looked over at Shane for confirmation, who was looking off into space, that didn’t bother me as much as the fact that I needed to look to him for answers, as if he really did have a hold over my life, and just as I wanted he nodded at me confirming this crazy idea.

“OK, so is that all?” I already felt like I needed a nap even though I had just woke up. Shane must have been able to see that because he gave me a sympathetic.

“Hey, all I say we move to the living room” as we got there, he sat beside me and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back against him so I could lean against his chest.

“Is that all I need to know because I think a movie day is in order! Seeing as it is the last week before school.” I declared waving my hands in the air.

So that’s how that day went we snacked and watched movie after movie, got into arguments about what movie was better. The day ended up being pretty good after all. Who knew?
