So far today I have caught Shane in my house at like 9 in the morning, then after I ate breakfast he had offered to take me and introduce me to my other neighbor who just so happen to be his cousin. His cousin is like the complete opposite of him he has light hair and dark eyes, and then he is a warm person. Shane seemed to be on edge the entire time we were there and was grinding his teeth. All in all he wasn’t acting like his cool calm self.  Oh I hear a car pulling up; it must be Stella and Lilia! Now my day has gotten so much better!

I raced down the stairs and before my mom, out the front door to find him in front of my house. I am in too a good of a mood for him to ruin it, so I just shouldered past him and keep on my path to my friends. When I got down to the car I gave them each a hug before Stella whispered in my ear, “Who’s the hottie following you?”

My head jerked around “What are you doing here!?” Even I could hear the growl in my voice.

“Whoa, I just thought maybe your friends might want help carrying their bags” He had a smirk on his face again.

“Oh, Well I guess that’s nice of you, and I guess if you want to help.” Out of the corner of my eye I saw Hunter walking across the yard, I breathing a sigh of relief.

“Ok girl which one have you called ‘cause I want one.” Lilia finally spoke up. As usual her remake made me laugh, and then for some reason I growled. “Scar, are you alright?”

Shaking my head then realized they might think I wasn’t ok I replied “yeah I’m fine. Well if you’re going to help hop to it, don’t just stand there like a bug catcher, come on!” Ok even I could tell that was really lame.

“Bossy much today?”  Stel and Lil laughed at Shane’s comment, who then held his hands up in mock surrender, this made me bristle. I walked over to the car and pulled out a bag, “If you’re going to help grab a bag if not leave!” then walking over to Hunter “thank you for helping Hunter”

He smiled down at me “No problem Scarlet, if you ever need help just give me a holler!”

After everyone got a bag I showed them into the house and up the stairs and then where each room was. Then I showed the guys out, before heading I grabbed 3 cups of hot chocolate, because well tradition. When I got back upstairs they were sitting in the middle of my huge bedroom. “Hey guys, I got us some hot chocolate.” They waved me in and I handed out the mugs. “Ok to start of thanks y’all for coming, second I know you have some remarks to make so go ahead.” I braced myself.

“What was with the growling?” Stel spoke up.

“Ok, I completely saw that one coming and to be honest no idea.”

“How did you manage to get a house in between those to? Second can I have one either works?” Lil asked this as if it was the most innocent thing ever.

“First off I didn’t even know where the house was until we got here, second what makes you think I want one?” I answered a bit too defensively.

“That right there shows us you do.” Stella's Voice ,a bit too cocky.

Glaring at her I answered “Fine what do you want me to say I’m madly in love with Shane!” slapping my hands over my mouth I didn’t mean to say a name.

“Finally Love took you long enough to realize it.” Having just taken a drink, I started choking; Lilia reached over and started slamming her fist on to my back. Once I caught my breath “Oww, dude I think I’ll have a fist shaped bruise now” we fell into a moment of complete laughter until tears fell down our faces.

Gasping for breath Stella spoke “So what was with the choking?”

I felt my face redden “Well ummm I heard his voice in my head!”

“No way, what did it say?” Lilia spoke up; I looked over to see she already downed her drink.

“Hey look your drinks gone let me go refill it.”  I went to stand up but was stopped by both of them pulling me back down. “ugh fine, it said something about it taking me long enough I don’t know. That’s all it said.”

“We need to test this, say something back to it.” Stella spoke triumphantly.

“I’ll feel stupid if I do, and I’ll be talking to myself.”  I groaned.

“To bad you have to you have no say!” Lilia shouted being her bossy self.

“Now who’s being bossy Lilith?” I muttered “Fine I’ll do it but I won’t get a reply” I shut my eyes and focused “Hello anyone there?” I waited for a reply and when I thought I wouldn’t get one I opened my eyes “See nothing.” When suddenly.

“Yes love you beckoned me?”  Nearly choking on my own spit he replied.

Lilia and Stella laughed “What’s so funny?!”

“The look on your face is what’s funny you, look like a deer in the head lights. So what did he say?”

“He said that I beckoned him.”

“Oh you need to find out which one it is, tell him to come over.”

“Ok?” again I focused “Can you come over here please?”

“Anything for you love where would you like me to meet you?”

“Umm the front door I guess?”

“OK be there in a minute.”

“Guys come on he’s gonna meet us at the front door.” I sprang up and grabbed the cups and raced down stairs for the second time that day. The girls followed at a much slower pace, when I got to the front door they were standing there waiting for me, and when I flung the door open it was not the one I was hoping. “You? You’re the one in my head?”

“Yes Love can’t you tell? He said with confidence before wrapping his arms around. Stella and Lilia could see my discomfort with this but they didn’t help, they just laughed.

I squirmed “Why are you hugging me? Can you explain any of this to me?”

“Yes, love I can you're my mate no if ands or buts about it you're stuck with me.”

I went slack jawed before Lilia spoke “Wait so Scar gets a hot guy for life and I get nothing no fair!” she stomped her foot like a small child. This made us all laugh even me from where I stood in his arms.

“OK what do you mean mate?” I managed as my mom came down the stairs.

“Oh my I didn’t see this coming!” Did everyone know what was going on but me? “I thought I would have more time, you’re too young for this to happen.”

“Mom what do you mean? Did you know this was going to happen? Why didn’t you tell me?” questions just started to pour out of my mouth.

“Yes honey why don’t you let Shane in and we can explain things to all three of you.” My mother  was so calm about this how could she be so calm, I nodded my head and lead them all into the living room where there would be enough room for all of us.

“OK can someone explains to me what mate means and why he is being clingy?” I couldn’t help myself I wanted to know.

“Ok honey, I think I should go first. One of your greats on your father’s side was a shape shifter, and a shape shifter is always mated to a person with at least part shifter. And you knew your father obviously well he never found his mate.  So we got married and had you and don’t get me wrong we were very much but from what I’ve heard its nothing like the bond you have with your mate. When your father died I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t want to tell you this because it all just happens. The wound are all still open and I knew this would be hard.” By the time she was done we were both in tears, when Shane saw this he pulled me closer to him and tried to comfort me.  Despite what I wanted I found myself burying my face in his shirt.

“Shh, love its ok just let it out.” He was stroking my hair and when I calmed, I lifted my head off his chest everyone was staring at us.

“Ok, Shane can you explain how you fit into this?” my voice was still hoarse from crying.

“Yes, I can. Well as your mom was talking about mates, I am yours and you are mine, we will be bonded in 3 ways one of which is done, which was soul bond, we will also be body bond, and heart bond before the end of our long life together.” He said with complete surety.

“Well first what are body bond, and heart bond? Second what do you mean long life won't our lives be normal length?” confusion laced my voice.

His face reddened slightly “Body bond is when we umm”

“Ok got it don’t explain, just move on” I was holding my hands up and Stella and Lilia were laughing.

“Man Scar, what happen till not losing your virginity before marriage?” Lilia was laughing so hard she had tears running down her face. I stood up walked up to her with my hands on my hips.

“Who said I was ever going to keep that? And now you who ever said I wanted this?” I was laughing by the time I was finished, this was all so absurd. “Ok, I’m going to go to bed can we continue this tomorrow?” before turning to the stairs not even waiting for an answer. After I made my way up stairs, when I reached my room I pulled out my journal because well on a day like this I really needed.
