Steps to using your Doll for Good

1. Concentrate on your desires.
   
   
   
   • One purpose of a voodoo doll is to provide meditation and focus. While holding your voodoo doll, you need to focus on the effect you hope it will bring. You can find pre-made voodoo dolls online that have aspects of life, like: fertility, marriage, luck, prosperity, etc. or that represent one of the spirits.
     
     
     
     • The use of a voodoo doll requires patience and clearing your mind of distractions. That is why it's also referred to as meditation, it's the practice, of calming your soul and spirit in order to be more in tune with your hopes and desires.
     
     
     • You can bring about good not just for yourself, but for others. If you plan to bring good fortune to others, use the same process but have a doll that represents them and focus on the hopes and desires you wish for them.
     
     
     
     
   
   
   
   


2. Use different colour pins.
   
   
   
   • There are traditionally seven coloured pins but over time more have been added equaling to totally of 11 coloured pins. The use of these colours are to indicate areas of life you need to focus on for yourself or others. This technique works along with the meditation and focus technique. Remember meditation and focus first, decide the hopes or desired needed for change. This is followed with pricking the corresponding colour pin to the desired location. *see chapter 5 for Voodoo Body Map and colour meanings.
   
   
   • Example #1 - If you'd like power in your life or for a friend's life then use the red pin to prick the head of your doll. 
     Example #2 - If you crave love, use the blue pin and prick the heart.
   
   
   
   


3. Call upon the spiritual beings of Voodoo.
   
   
   
   • The dead are all spirit beings of Voodoo (ancestors that have moved on from this life), they bring about different desires. In order to call upon them, a voodoo doll must be created or obtained. You focus on your hopes, dreams and desires the spirits can grant you. Lighting a candle (coloured) pertaining to a corresponding to the spirit intention.
   
   
   • To communicate with a person's spirit, pin an intimate charm or token of that person to the doll, such as a lock of hair, picture or piece of clothing. You can talk to the spirit through the doll, appeal to it, ask it questions or request it to do a task for you. (This is completely up to you and what your intentions are)
   
   
   
   

NOTE

Most experienced users of Voodoo suggest only to use you dolls for good, because as the saying goes "what goes around, comes a round" ... or "Karma Sucks!"
