Chapter 2 - The History of the Voodoo Doll

Chapter 2

The Hisrory of the Voodoo Doll

These dolls were originally made to look like each member in a family. Yes even the pets. Then used them to teach children with. As time went by they were evolved and combined with other cultures and traditions until we come to todays version of the Voodoo doll.

These dolls where used for teaching tools, healing, protection, love spells, guidance, messengers to the spirit world, and of course the one everyone knows for curses.

When sending messages to the spirit world, this was accomplished by nailing the doll to a tree in the graveyard, where the spirit of the dead you needed to contact had been buried. A message attached to the voodoo doll.

These dolls are based on symbolic magic. They are made to have potential for empowerment. This empowerement potential is activated when a piece of clothing, hair, picture etc. is attached to it. This then can effect people, animals or events.
