Sage Colored Crimson (An OC X Mattheo Riddle Story)
Sage Vespertine was going to be a new student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the beginning of her 5th year. She is a half-blood wizard who’s mother is witch and father is a muggle. She’s 15 and transferred from an American wizard school. She has wavy black hair that is cropped above her shoulders, pale skin with freckles, and grey colored eyes. There’s not much of a rival between the Gryffindors and Slytherin. Also, Mattheo Riddle and Tom Riddle will be brothers in this story with Voldemort (completely different than Tom) as their father.

“So what are the plans for tomorrow,” Theodore asks as the Gang hangs out in the common room.
Everyone shrugs. “I’m probably just going to hang out in the library or something,” Sage says.
“Ugh you’re so boring. Who wants to spend their weekend inside of the library,” Draco asks with a dumbfounded face.
Sage rolls her eyes and says, “someone who actually knows how to read.”
“We’ll figure out something fun,” says Pansy.

It is around 10 pm and the Gang is still hanging out talking about the lost random stuff anyone can think of.
Sage, who is hanging upside on one of the couches, says, “ok but like, I don’t get why Umbridge got to fire Trelawny,” talking about the recent events that had been happening at the school.
“I know. It’s so stupid that she’s been allowed to examine the teachers,” Lorenzo says resting his head on his arm.
“It was pretty funny watching her examine McGonagall though. I like her,” Sage says.
She laughs a little and says, “my head feels weird.”
“That’s because all the blood is going to your head. Stop it before you pass out,” exclaims Mattheo picking her head up and laying it on his lap.
“Aw you care,” Sage teases him. “But you’re making my spine contort into positions it shouldn’t be in.”
He rolls his eyes and pushes her head back off of him making it hit the bottom of the couch.
“Ow.”
“I’m going to my dorm. I think I have some leftover homework to do,” Mattheo says standing up.
“Wow, Sage I didn’t know you changed your name to homework,” Theodore says smirking.
“That’s disgusting,” exclaims Draco. Sage gets up and whacks Theodore in the back of the head.
“Don’t be jealous just because he actually has a girlfriend,” she says. Just before Theodore argues back, Mattheo drags Sage away saying, “no arguing.”
“Whatever you say, curly fries,” Sage says making him stop. “What in the actual hell did you just call me?”
“What? You don’t like it? It’s my new nickname for you. Since you have curly hair,” she explains.
“Don’t ever call me that again.”
“Ok, curly fries.”
He glared at her and they go to his dorm. “Do you got any good books,” Sage asked him looking through his drawers.
“Hey, don’t open tha-“ he tried to say as she opens his nightstand drawer.
Inside of it was a necklace with the Death Eater symbol on it.
“What is this, Mattheo,” she asks him picking it up and furrowing her brows.
He stands up and rushes over to her, snatching the necklace away.
“I told you not to open that,” he yelled.
Sage lightly flinches at his yelling. “I’m sorry. But why do you have that,” she asks. “Only Death Eaters have things with that emblem.”
“It’s nothing, ok?”
“Mattheo, that’s not nothing! Did your dad give it to you? Or are you a Death Eater or something?”
“Just leave it, Sage! God, just because my dad is Voldemort doesn’t mean you can assume that about me!”
Her face filled with guilt and she says, “I’m so sorry that’s not what I was implying! I know you aren’t like your dad. I’m so sorry.”
Mattheo’s face softens a bit before changing to disgust. Not disgust at Sage, but at himself.
He was guilt tripping her into believing a lie.
“No, I’m sorry. I know you didn’t mean it like that,” he apologizes, stepping forward.
“It’s ok. But what is the reason that you have that,” she asks again.
He hesitates before speaking. “Uhm…my dad forced me and Tom to join him and the Death Eaters.”
Her face floods with pity. “Why didn’t you tell me,” she whispers, holding his hands.
“I-I thought that you would maybe hate me for it,” he says. “Oh, Mattheo, I could never hate you,” she says giving him a hug.
“What was he going to do if you refused,” Sage asks after pulling away.
“Kill all of our friends. But this isn’t good. He can use Legilimency. He’ll find out about you and force you to join, or he’ll murder you,” he said cupping her face in his hands.
“It’ll be ok. He won’t find out,” she promises him with a small smile.
“You don’t know that,” he whispers in reply.
