She’s 15 and transferred from an American wizard school. She has wavy black hair that is cropped above her shoulders, pale skin with freckles, and grey colored eyes. There’s not much of a rival between the Gryffindors and Slytherin. Also, Mattheo Riddle and Tom Riddle will be brothers in this story with Voldemort (completely different than Tom) as their father.

Chapter 3
Sage groans as Pansy wakes her up very roughly from a good dream. It’s been about two weeks since term has started and Sage has gotten closer to the Slytherin Gang.
Not only that but she has befriended the bushy haired girl who’s name she learned was Hermione. She was very nice.
After getting ready she heads downstairs where the Gang was waiting. “Finally, you take forever to get ready,” Lorenzo says.
“Oh shut up, Enzo,” Sage snaps at him. “Is it your time of the month or something,” Draco says with a chuckle.
Sage turns around, looks him dead in the eyes and says, “Actually yes. I started my day by waking up in my own blood, is that how you’d like me to end yours?” This wasn’t true but it made Sage feel good.
Draco’s eyes widen and everyone bursts out laughing. “No thank you. Let’s just get down to breakfast,” he says in a high pitched voice.
Time Skip to DADA class
Umbridge has been having the whole class read one chapter of their books for the last half hour and everyone is fed up.
All of a sudden, Hermione raises her hand. “Yes, dear,” Umbridge asks. “I’ve finished the chapter.” Umbridge nods and says, “well go on to the next one then.”
“Actually, I’ve finished the whole book,” Hermione says making Umbridge’s eyes widen. “Then reread it, dear.”
Sage rolls her eyes and says, “Professor, I’m pretty sure the entire class has finished the book. Can we actually learn something?”
“Now Miss Vespertine you know the rules. Students must raise there hands,” Umbridge says making Sage sigh.
Sage raises her hand and Umbridge does not address her even when she starts waving it.
“I’m sorry, Professor but how am I able to speak if you do not acknowledge that my hand is in the air,” Sage says frustrated.
Umbridge stares at her and says, “well then dear, what is so important that you need to disrupt my class in order to say?”
“This entire class is a waste of time and energy. You have had us read one chapter for thirty minutes! I’m sorry that it seems like you have a need to waste our education just so you can suck up to the Ministry! You want us to not lie so here’s the truth. You are just an idiotic woman who wishes to control every little thing where she has no business being in. Also, that stupid little laugh you do is so incredibly obnoxious that it makes everyone here want to gouge out their ear drums,” Sage yells standing up and knocking over her chair.
“That’s a detention, Miss Vespertine! For two weeks, every night at 7:00 in my office!”
Sage looks around the room and sees everyone with wide eyes and Mattheo with a small smirk on his face. Sage grabs her bag and turns to walk out the door when Umbridge starts speaking again.
“I have not dismissed you yet! You sit right back down!” Sage turns around and walks up to Umbridge. “Make me,” Sage whispers.
Everyone waits for an answer as Umbridge stands there red in the face and stuttering. Sage walks back out the door without another word.
Time Skip
The whole day has passed and no one has seen Sage and she’s slipped all of her classes. The Gang has started to get worried as 7:00 nears and they wonder if Sage will go to her detention.
“Ok I’m going to go look for her again,” Mattheo says as the Gang enters the Great Hall and doesn’t see her anywhere.
“Calm down, mate. I’m sure she’s fine. She’ll show up eventually. It’s not like she could leave,” Draco says.
Meanwhile with Sage
Sage has been hiding in a room she found that was full of books and candles for the entire day. It was strange because she never noticed this room before.
As it neared 7:00 she began to wonder if she should go to the detention or skip it.
Surely if she were to skip it her punishment would be much worse.
She got up and exited the room looking for any sign of other people. ‘They must all be at the dorms or something’ she thought.
She arrived at Umbridge’s office and knocked. Sage heard a voice say “come in” and entered the office.
As soon as she stepped foot into the room she had to refrain from rolling her eyes. There were plates with kittens on them hung up on the walls and everywhere she looked was pink.
“So nice of you to make it. Please sit down. You are going to be writing lines for me today,” said Umbridge. Sage sat down in the chair and went to grab a quill and ink.
“Oh no you will use one of my quills, dear. You also won’t need ink,” she said handing Sage a quill.
“What am I supposed to write,” Sage asks Umbridge stiffly. “How about, I must learn to keep quiet. Then maybe we can change it to something different,” she said in a sickly sweet voice.
“And how many times am I required to write that,” she asked Umbridge. “Until the message sinks in.”
With another eye roll Sage began to write. After a couple of lines her hand started to feel weird but she brushed it off. When she neared close to fifteen lines she looked down at her hand which was now stinging with pain.
Carved into her skin were the words, “I must learn to keep quiet.” Umbridge walks over to her and picks up Sage’s hand. She tries not to pull away from the chubby fingers and soon Umbridge says, “you are free to go. Same time tomorrow for your next detention.”
Sage rushes out of the office and runs to the Slytherin common room. Her hand didn’t bother her much because she’s been through much worse and knows how to hide the pain.

As soon as she enters the portrait hole, she is bombarded by the gang.
“Where we’re you? You’ve been missing all day! You made us really worried,” Mattheo said giving Sage a hug. She chuckles and hugs him back.
“I’m fine. I just didn’t want to deal with school today.” Pansy asks her, “did you go to your detention?” Sage nods and goes to sit on one of the couches.
“How was it,” Theodore asked. “It was…fine. She just had me write lines,” Sage said deciding not to tell them about her hand. “Did Mattheo tell you all what happened?”
“The whole school practically knows. You’ll be famous now,” Lorenzo says with a chuckle.
“You shouldn’t have yelled at her,” Tom spoke up not looking from a peace of parchment. Sage rolled her eyes and said, “she deserved it. I don’t even care if I got detention.”
“How long do you have it for,” asked Blaise. “Two weeks.”
“What? But I was going to make you try out for Quidditch,” Draco exclaims. “I’ll still be able to do that so calm down Blondie,” Sage says.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you. I got all of your missing work from today,” Mattheo says handing a pile to Sage.
“You didn’t have to do that. Thank you though,” she said. “I’m pretty tired I’m going to go to bed.” Everyone said good night to Sage and she went to her dorm.
As soon as the Gang knew she was out of ear shot they started talking.
“Are you going to tell her,” Pansy asked a confused Mattheo. “Tell her what?”
Theodore rolls his eyes at Mattheo. “They are talking about your obvious crush on Sage, brother,” Tom says.
Mattheo eyes widen and he says, “I don’t have a crush on her!” Draco just smirks at him. “Stop smiling! I do not have a crush on her!”
“You fancy Sage! You fancy Sage,” Lorenzo chants earning several weird looks from other Slytherins and a smack in the head from Mattheo.
“Shut up! Ok, maybe I do have a teensy tiny crush on Sage,” he says looking down. “Hah I knew it!”
“You have to tell her! She obviously likes you back,” Pansy says excitedly. “I can’t do that! She’s been here what two weeks? That’d be crazy of me,” explains Mattheo.
“Fine. Once she’s done with her detentions tell her. That way, you will know her for five weeks. So practically a month,” Theodore says.
“You all aren’t going to leave me alone about this are you?” Everyone shakes their head. “Fine,” says Mattheo, “after she’s done with her detentions.”
“I’m going to go to bed too. It’s been a long day. See you all in the morning,” Mattheo said standing up.

Once he was about to go to bed, Mattheo heard a knock on his door. Opening it, he sees Tom standing there.
“I think you know what this is about,” says Tom stepping into the room. Mattheo nods.
“If you do tell Sage, Father can not know. Not unless she becomes a Death Eater which none of us want. She’s my friend too and I don’t want her getting hurt,” Tom explains.
“I know. God why does Father have to rope us into his mess,” exclaims Mattheo as he lays down on his bed.
“You know what would happen if we rebelled against him Matt. Remember what he did to mum,” Tom says. He nods.
“I won’t let her get hurt,” Mattheo promises. “Good. Well night little brother.”
As Tom walks out the room Matttheo lays on his side. ‘He will not touch her as long as I’m breathing,’ he silently vowed.
And with that, he fell into a nightmare induced sleep.
