The Hunters
Chapter 2
Fria jumped onto the rock. Her followers were close behind her. She looked carefully at her prey. A normal human was calmly watering flowers, she was so hungry she would go for anyone now. The watering can was old and dusty and looked as if it were about to break any moment. Colin jumped next to Fria. He studied her fine face. Her blond straight hair rested on her shoulders, her calm eyes watched the muggle intently as if she was wishing to leap now and kill the muggle straight away. Her blue eyes swerved with ought warning to watch him instead. Colin jumped and looked else where, he didn't want to anger her by trying to seem like he was worth her time. he knew he wasn't. She however was amused by his actions and then turned back to intently watch her prey, comforted by the simple presence of her own kind. She couldn't always be the leader, she needed support sometimes as well.
Connie scrambled after Simon. Colin saw how much, his cousin Connie resembled him. He could not see it before but it was clear now. Her black hair witch hung in ringlets just touching her shoulders, were exactly like Colin`s messed up hair. He had not brushed it in a week. He winced and grimaced as he ran a hand through it and clumps can untangled in those dirty fingers. He sighed and looked down, giving up.
He was starving now. As long as all went well they could have food.
Connie fell and Simon stopped. They both watched the prey, not even moving an inch. Fria crouched. Connie and Simon began to wail. The prey - woman turned her attention to them. She marched over to pear at them, looking mildly surprised but happy at the same time. Connie clutched her ankle and rocked back and forth, she whimpered and let more fake tears run down her face. Simon ran in circles, his gold hair flooped over onto his brow every time he took another step. The human appeared confused but then made a decision and swiftly picked up Connie and brought her into the house. Simon followed, still wailing. Fria and Colin waited a few seconds and then sat down. Fria giggled. Colin looked at her perfect face. "That!" she announced. "Was easier than I thought!" Colin and Fria sat there giggling. "Now for part two!"
