The Sorting

Chapter 2

"Sorry about the boys. There's not that many pretty girls here in Hogwarts. And if there are, they're in Gryffindor, and Slytherins can't date Gryffindors." Pansy explained. "And why not?" Sara questioned as they walked to the Great Hall. Pansy stopped walking.

"Gryffindors and Slytherins are rivals. They can never be friends. Gryffindor thinks that all Slytherins are evil." Pansy said, and they continued walking. "I hope I get sorted into anything but Gryffindor. Or Hufflepuff." Sara smiled. "Ravenclaw is a decent house too. The founders of Ravenclaw and Slytherin were in love." Pansy nudged her playfully as they sat down. Professor Dumbledore shared some general announcements.

"Now, third years. You will have a student joining your year. I trust you will welcome her with warm hearts and kind faces. Please welcome Sara Snape!"

Everyone cheered, but some of the Gryffindors were muttering things like "Snape has a daughter?" She smirked at the Slytherins who had welcomed her before. She sat on the chair. "Hmm, difficult. Ambitious, but  wise. Brave heart, and a kind one as well. Loyal. Mischievous. Smart. Tough. I'll say... Ravenclaw!" The Sorting Hat shouted. The Ravenclaws cheered as she sat down next to Luna Lovegood.
