The Poet
" There will come a poet, whose weapon is his word. He will slay you down with his tongue. Oh lei, oh lai, oh lord."
A travelling poet has come into the village of Wallachia. He was travelling around Europe to write poems for scholars.
The poet one day decided to write a poem in the town garden where Emmasina has come to gather flowers for her home.
He was amazed by her beauty and helpfulness to others around her. He made poems of them falling in love.
Sadly in a few nights the Poet would have to leave for the next town in his journey. He wished he could take Emmasina with him but she wanted to stay in her home.
Emmasina also encouraged th epoet to continue his poems and his journey.
The poet had understood her position and bid her a graceful farewell and promised to write her of all his journeys.
Sadly there was no room left in the poet's heart.
