Roots and shoots (Valerian) 

Valerian is a pernnial herb which is found in parts of Europe and Asia. It posesses both magical and non magical properties. The roots are known for their sedative powers, which are effective in sleeping potions and calming droughts. The shoots however, are known to be used in sleeping potions and attracts cats whilst repelling dogs.  The Valerian plant can grow up to give feet tall, whilst the flowers bloom between June and July. With our the magical properties, muggles use the Valerian rooys to promote sleep and treat epilepsy. The herb is also able to assist in heart palpitations and poor eyesight.

Any other Lily: 

Lilies belong to the Lilium genus. They have many different colours and shapes. Many plants which are called Lilies actually aren't true lilies. True.lilues grown in parts of Europe, Asia and North America. They require sunlight and soil which have a PH level of 5.5 to 6.5. Lilies can be quite poisonous to cats and Kneazles. Some lilies have medical uses. They are able to react well with magic. 

Accommodating Asphodel:

The Asphodel is a relative of the lily which is a herb grown in Mediterranean greenhouses. It can grow up to 5 feet in the wild. Plant the seeds in sunny spots in with a PH of 6.0- 6.5. Avoid overwatering the herb. Asphodel roots are mainly used in potions such as the Sticking Solution and Sleeping Draught. Other uses have been discovered by Ocamier Flinson, a herbologist. These uses include skin lightening options and skin regrowth potions. 

 Tying it all together (Knotgrass) 

Knotgrass is a common weed found around the world. It can grow up to six feet in optimal environments or stay small in harsher environments. The plant blooms with white flowers (sometimes other colours) during May to Fall. Knotgrass is able to thrive in different climates, soil and sun levels. It symbolises unity and is sometimes presented at weddings based on tradition. It is also a key ingridents in Polyjuice potion and is used in love and fertility potions.
