Herbology Notes

Y1 L2: Tools of the trade
Chapter 2
Protection:
The items used for protection are dragonhide gloves and ear muffs. It is also highly recommended to wear closed toed shoes and an apron for practical activities.
Tending to plants:
There are three tools needed that are essential to care for plants.
- Thdragon dung: Used as fertaliser as plants
- Mooncalf dog: Used for planting and caring for sensitive plants
- Centuar tears: Used as a drink for plants.
Cauldrons:
The cauldrons mainly used at Hogwarts are pewter cauldrons, however there are of course other types such as brass, copper, gold and silver.
