Lesson One:
Introductions
Required: In Transfiguration, a student must have a wand, parchment and a quill to take notes. A student must be able dictate thoughts in a creative and intelligent manner, read the material and analyze the theories.
Classroom Procedure: Each lesson will be broken down into different, precise parts. Beginning: Review objectives and highlight biggest points within the lesson. Keep an eye on these objectives for testing. Second: Reviewing and clarifying information from the previous week. Third: The actual lecture (pay attention!). Lastly, questions and the passing out of assignments and/or questions.
Expectations: No silly behaviour and strict professionalism. Pay attention to the details and be able to apply knowledge for logical and reasonable responses. Any less and you will removed from class. Don't be shy- ask questions! No food is beverage is to be in the classroom with the exception of water in a tightly sealed container (bottle). Failure to meet execrations means detention.
What is Transfiguration: Transfiguration is the most scientific branch of magic. There are many, many factors that play into each spell, and they range for simple to difficult. Transfiguration is defined the art of changing the form of an object or being into a different form, however, it can get much more complicated than that. as the art of changing the form of an object or being into a different form. Transfiguration has four branches which we will discuss in-depth within the next lesson: transformation, conjuration, vanishing and untransformation. Every spell we will learn over the next five (or seven years if you stay with N.E.W.T.s) will fit into one of these branches.
Why do we need to study Transfiguration: To accomplish tasks in a much quicker and efficient way, as well as self defines. Once you graduate, you will be using Transfiguration on a regular basis for the simplest of needs.
