Magizoologist's Christmas
Chapter 5
Nifflers were all busy and the tunnel was merry. Mother Niffler was holding a tray of tiny gingerbread cookies and was busy to put them on a plate. They were wrapped up later in shiny gold wrapping to stir some interest. The three cousins chattered excitedly.
"Ooh, look at this!" Jenny squeaked.
"It looks barely edible!" Lucy murmered.
"What will Narcissa give us for christmas?" Asked Nina, a tiny little Niffler who adored Narcissa - their owner.
"I don't know. Something shiny, I hope!" Jenny and Lucy said in unision, while spinning the biscuit paper a bit over enthusiasticly, which resulted in one being broken.
Meanwhile, of you crept away from the delcious smell from the kitchen, you would reach the merriest part of the tunnel - the sitting room. Most of the family were there, eagerly putting misteltoe around the tunnel. Emmy, who was a rather clumsy niffler, was anxiously sniffing the lights, and maybe....just maybe trying to bite them. The result was that she got tangled in fairy lights and was rescued by Grandfather Niffler, who was smoking his pipe.
"Ay, little 'un. Carefull." He said, with a thick accent. He crawled there with his family and wife from a few houses away - although the people spoke an entirely different language there and he picked it up.
"Be carefull, chap." Grandfather said, patting Emmy. He would never manage to remember anyone's name - because well, the family was huge! Aunt Arina who was a cheerful Niffler came over to the room, arm in arm with her youngest daughter, Daisy. They were holding a present which was wrapped up very carefully.
Suddenly, a rustle of leaves broke the merry laughter and chatter. The younger ones squeled an even the old Nifflers looked pleased. Narcissa came with their christmas present.
