A Magical Collection
My grandmother had a wonderful collection of magical art in her home, I would say only second that of Hogwarts. In this book I'll talk about my favourite paintings, sculptures and photographs from her collection. (THIS IS NOT A TEXTBOOK) This book is complete.

The Sculptures
Chapter 2
Perry
Grandmother owns many sculptures, but I will tell you about three of my favourites. The first one is currently called Perry. We know that the name has changed over the years, as the sculpture does not have have much of a personality of it’s own. The current name, Perry, comes from an old sweetheart of my great grandmother Freya’s great-great-great-great aunt. She, like me attended Hogwarts instead of Durmstrang and met this Perry. They never married, as his family wanted him to marry an english witch, and we believe that he gave her this sculpture.
Perry currently resides in grandmothers entrance hall. It is a roman sculpture who always greet people with an insult, regardless if they are friends or family. The only one the statute does not verbally assault is my grandmother who has a great fondness for the sculpture. Perry is actually quite handsome… For special occasions my grandmother lovingly decorate the sculpture with hats and flowers. It makes the bust especially grumpy, shouting even more aggressive insults to guests.
And it is a truly unique sculpture! At some point in it’s existence it was given additional enchantment’s as Perry can shout quite detailed insults that continue for hours, even after the victim has left the room. Grandmother always keep a stock of chocolate to calm down sensitive guests. But still, it only moves it’s lips in the roman tradition. It makes the statue even more creepy. Freya did some research on this bust and found that it was originally enchanted by the great Pygmalion!
Sad Sara
The story of sad Sara is a sad one. She is a sculpture of a real woman who died the 19th century. Sara was going to be married to a wizard but both died the day before the wedding. As a statue she is dressed as a bride with flowers in her hair and face covered with a veil. There is no sculpture of her betrothal. The strange thing about Sara is that she had only knows that she was to marry but not to whom! Still, she had a sad aura about her always sighing and trapped in melancholy. But this does not stop other portraits from courting her, as she is very beautiful. Grandmother has taken many requests by portraits and sculptures to be placed closer to her, and she keeps them on a rotating schedule. All has tried to woo her, but to no effect. She is friendly with an abstract sculpture, as it (quoting sad Sara) “does not tries to get under my veil”. It is customary for every bride in the Skeri family to place her bridal bouquet by her statue, a gesture she appreciates, despite that she in the following weeks goes into a deep depression only helped by the support of her abstract friend.
Fabius "Mr Muscle"
The athletic romans loved making statues of their sporting heroes, this one depicts Fabious flexing his muscles. A witch grew fond of him in the 16th century and decided she wanted a bit more action out of him. So she spend a few years fixing him up, making him a fully moving (only on his socket, she didn’t want him to run away) and talking statue. Since then he has been flexing and showing of his body. He is completely nude and every attempt to cover him up has failed. We believe that the 16th century witch cast another enchantment on him so that all parts of him would be clearly visible. But for the last 300 years a low screen has been placed in front of him.
He is known as “Mr Muscle” around the house and is one of the admirers of sad Sara. Grandmother moved him close to her once, but Fabius did not make a good impression. He was moved back and grandmother has denied any requests from him since. Still we do not know was Fabius said to upset Sara, but he returned to his place without his left hand. We don’t know how she did this, it is possible that she called for help and an armour helped her. Still, Mr Muscle thinks he got a shot at her and makes another portrait visit her conveying “saucy” messages to her.
