Chapter 3
Author's Note: This chapter is more about my actual life, but projecting onto Ivy since I'm too poor for therapy, and rping it is basically my therapy at this point lol. Hope you enjoy? I guess? XD
Ivy stormed into her room after reading the latest Owl from her parents earlier that day in the Great Hall. She has been on bad terms with them ever since they had kicked her out the previous year after finding out she was trans and was interested in witchcraft. They dumped her in front of a hotel, and said if she didn't repent then that was it.
Since then she managed to get her own place, have her boyfriend move in, and then got her Owl to attend Hogwarts. She had been trying to get her father to see straight but he is a stubborn, fundamentalist, idiotic Christian who refused to accept science because of a book. She had been cast out because of a book, and then they had the gall to say that they still loved her.
In their last few owls, she had been pointing out how they believe in things that are impossible and she is trying to work through her deconstruction and trauma, and her father's response? "Oh you weren't lied to as a child. You don't need therapy or Internet Turds. You need God! Jesus! Satan deceives!" Like come on, seriously? You traumatize me throughout my entire childhood, throw me out when I'm 18 in front of a hotel for not being how you want me to be, and then you claim to still love me?
Like what kind of made up crap is that?? There truly is no hate quite like Christian love. It's so dumb, and since I'm the one who is actually deconstructing and learning how things work in the real world, I'm the evil one. I need Jesus and God. No, I don't. When I was a child I was kept away from real science books, instead all I got were Answers in Genesis and Kent Hovind lectures. And they have the nerve to tell me, the one who loves science and physics and learning how things work, the LITERAL RAVENCLAW, that I'm the one in the wrong.
Just stop the lies, and maybe learn how things actually work. How we evidence for the Big Bang, the Earth being old and not 6000 years old, how evolution works, all of it, so please for the love of everything logical, stop believing the lies.
Ivy sat back down as she had been pacing around the room while yelling into the empty air, wishing that she hadn't been dealt such a hand in life.
Well, thanks for reading that little rant, definitely weird sharing stuff with strangers on the internet, but hey, it's free, and when you're a poor 20 year old in this day and age, you take all the free things you can get lol. Next chapter shall hopefully be something more upbeat and normal. Hope yall have a good day/night! Love you all! <3
